If you are a new player in console, don't play killer ever

Is absolute garbage for new killers to play in console. MMR is completely useless and you will get nothing but experienced survivors and bully squads, killer swing in colsole is beyond uselees, auto aim causes you to miss and insane amount of hits by automatically turning to hit a wall, and the swing constantly falls short, for some stupid reason your killer won't do a full lounge and just complete the swing before you can hit the survivors.

So, no, if you are new in console don't play killer, you will never have fun, you will constantly lose and get bullied, there is absolute no reason to go through that. A video game is supposed to be fun and at least give you a chance to win, that is not gonna happen in console.

That's what I'm talking about, a full swing pressing the trigger all the way, and killer just finishes the swing before it should

Ohh I think I know what you're talking about maybe. Sometimes when I swing it'll do the full swing but it's like the auto aim will pull the killer back 2 steps or something. If that's what you mean. I've had that happen a lot not sure what causes it.

This is true. It is more difficult on console with some killers that require precise movements and aiming: trickster, huntress, Oni, etc, which does require more practice. Unfortunately, not a lot of people are willing to put in the time sink to get better, which is understandable when the bar is set high and you want to have fun right away. The best you can hope for is to find an m1 killer that you enjoy and stick with it, and there are plenty to choose from.

Dont listen them! I ADORE 360ing poor console killers, without them 360s would be useless. to me at least i cant 360 a pc player.

It's not that bad. I think there are some killers that I wouldn't bother with on console due to feedback, but I play Demo and Wraith just fine. Heck, I learned to play Demo on the Switch lmao ultimately it might take a bit longer to get the hang of than it would on PC, but as someone whose never played on PC so don't know what I'm missing out on, I think it's okay.

Trickster is just broken on Console, his recoil makes him impossible.

Oni and Huntress are definitely more difficult and you won't ever reach the skill cap of someone like Ralph or Lippy while on Console, but you don't really need to.

Listen up new players on console. It's really not that bad as OP makes it seem. I play on launch ps4 and yes it may sound like a jet airplane, but that doesn't stop me (nor will it you) from being lean, mean, killing machine. So go out there and be most terrifying killer you can be; the one I know that you know you can be.

And remember to always let surv boop your snoot on piggy. Yes, that means actually using her crouch. I've seen some of you out in the fog and you aren't using it; lookin' like you're allergic to it. Making our interactions have to look so hostile. I see you and I'm here to help you. Check your keybindings or follow the on-screen buttons.

    Happy killing!

On PC it's the opposite. Killers are more intuitive to play than survivors (I've played on consoles all my life).

The one thing you have to be really wary of as a console Killer is survivors trying to spin you. You don't have the turn arc to be able to handle it when it happens most of the time.

Over time you'll get used to the points in chase where people try to spin you, and if you ARE getting spun, try easing off your forward direction as you get close to that distance and when they start to spin, stop. They will walk back into you for a free hit.

This won't work every time, but if you have a spinner who does it, it'll unsettle them and make them less likely to try it.

I have been playing on PS5 since September for round about 300-400 killer hours and most of the time I'm fine. Yes all techs or counter techs which require fast flicks are harder or not pushed to the maximum efficiency, but you still can do fine.

If I lose games, not because of playing with controller but playing against better survs who can loop me/outplay me and I would have lost with mouse and keyboard too.

    Switch user here...

I mostly just stick with less mechanically hard killers. Huntress flicks are tricky for example, but there's not much trouble with someone like Myers.

Me too, especially because of the piss poor optimization gimping consoles even more than most PC's, and the lack of M&K support coming ever. But think it through.

First off the entire point of CrossPlay was to unite the playerbase, not split it.

Secondly the vast majority of the playerbase is on the consoles, so those on PC would see their queue times get out of hand fast.

And third, with lots of practice most of the killers can be run well enough to defeat similarly skilled players, when MMR works. As others have said, you really need to put in the work.

And just pretend Trickster doesn't exist. 🤪

P100 Legion and Feng here. Playing on (old) PS4 since Oct 2018 DBD. Multiple times Rank 1 with Killer and Surv and now Iri1 with both roles. I recommend you to play with 100 sens on killer. If they try 360, just 360 them back with your right stick. I takes some time to learn, but the movement looks so fast when you pull it of as killer that some people asked me if i play with the mouse. (i was streaming). Second tip is play with a good Scuf controller. Im using Aimcontrollers (base model, nothing fancy). The Sensitivity on the right stick is MUCH higher than with the standard controller. If you combine sens of 100 + using this Aimcontrollers which already have high turning sens on the right stick, then you will never ever be 360'd again (or very rarely). But of course also i with about 6.5k hours do miss sometimes (poor FPS because PS4, especially noticeable on RPD, Autoaim, my own mistake lol). But yes, that "step back and wait a bit when they 360" is helping also, but you are loosing a bit of distance to the surv by doing that. I think i would be absolute nightmare to survs if i switch one day to PS5 or PC. Now on PS4 its like "hardmode", but if you are doing on PS4 really good then it can be only better later with the higher fps on next gen/pc. And btw, Legion is "weak" on paper, D Tier blabla. But i main Legion and use special perk builds and addons. So i rarely loose. Also my gamesense and tactical decisions (3 gen protection, starting to tunnel out someone if i loose 1 or especially 2 gens at the beginning etc.) helps me alot.

Would be amazing. Not have to deal with toxic people using a computer for games instead of working.

Killer is nothing like as bad as OP says it is on console. I play on the Xbox One - currently as Trapper - and it is absolutely fine when you get the practice in. You'll win some, you'll lose some, some matches you'll face arseholes, some matches you'll face really great people, but with everything put together killer is absolutely fine on console.

What I would suggest to anyone who is unsure is, if they find they've had a couple of bad trials, take a step back and play something else. Make a list of what happens every trial, because it puts a lot into perspective. People who claim every trial is bad are mainly remembering bad trials. It happens to everyone! I have won 8 of the past 10 trials I've done, but the one that sticks in my head is the group of 3 who just spam-vaulted and teabagged at the end. If I were to believe the hype I'd say many games were like that and they are not.

So, if you are new and reading this, do not get put off. Just go in with a level head and see it as it is: just a game.

And still even if you practise Oni is not enough to get even as good as average pc oni as you can't 180s, flick and turning is slower.

Sucks that non of the new killer players can run our beloved Demopuppy...

Yeah I agree about Nurse, Blight, and Trickster being very difficult to master. I should know lol, especially with Blight. Since I would tend to side everywhere while trying to learn his techs. I will agree that yes I wish they would of optimized the game more especially for console. But maybe someday they’ll optimize more but I doubt it.

I play Wraith on a PS4, with a spotty internet connection and a newly busted up TV with a dark spot on one side. I may get 360'd here and there and get sweat players and whatnot, but I find most games I can win with the right focus on strategy and knowing when and who to loop, how to allocate my time, what perks and addons to bring that benefit my killer and most importantly, keeping my swings tight and on point. Practice makes perfect.

But if you truly don't believe you can succeed in Pubs as a ps4 killer, I use a "crappy" M1 killer on a "crappy" console and I still consistently, like 80%+ get 3-4k wins and most of the time do it without tunneling, slugging or camping to do it and even often give the last player the chance to find hatch, with around 30% success rate for the survivor.

It's all about practice, perk/addon pairing, mindset and strategy over aggression (unless you're a damn good blight, nurse or wesker I suppose).

If you ask me the biggest issue with Console is the Desynch issue in relation to PC priority and more than anything the survivor's ability to Shift+W around loops even crappy ones in ways that a PC killer would not find hard to combat.

But it's part of the cross-play experience, you make do.
