Teasers are presumably this week with the ptb next week, we know it's licensed so who do you think it is? As much as I would find it funny to watch the forums self-destruct in reaction to a FNAF chapter something is telling me we're not there yet. So then there's the three big movie licences out there F13, Alien, It.
F13 would obviously have Camp Crystal Lake and Alien would have the Nostromo most likely. We know there's a survivor but that doesn't help as F13 would most likely have Tommy Jarvis while Ellen Ripley would be the survivor for Alien. So with that said it's impossible to say which of the two is more likely without teasers.
As far anything I'm leaving out I'm not sure I guess The Thing could fit but I believe BHVR has said in the past a mimicry power wouldn't really work in DBD so if it's not one of F13 or Alien I don't have the slightest clue.

Typically they donโt reveal the new chapter/ptb til tome 3, we got awhile. Personally Iโd like a Buffy the Vampire Slayer Chapter.

I guess "Licensed with a capital L" means that we'll get something big that even non-horror Fans know or have heard of. I think Alien and F13 have really high chances this time.
Other memorable Mentions in such a case would be The Conjuring/The Nun, It, The walking Dead and Chucky
Another "Capital L" would be the Return of Stranger Things with Vecna as a new Killer and new Survivors or some new Content for a big Franchise that is already in DbD. The most likely "Capital L" Candidate for that would be a Resident Evil 7/Village Chapter, since there strangely is no 7/Village Content in DbD at all in DbD for whatever reason.
In 100% sure that the next Chapter won't be requested Franchises like FNAV, Candyman, Dead Space, M3GAN Bioshock or some semi-horror Franchise like Doom, Metal Gear the Terminator etc.

Maybe the stars will align and we'll get stranger things back. Imagine it, a new chapter with vecna, eddie, hopper and or joyce. With demo, Steve's and Nancy's glorious return as a bonus. Hawkin's lab plus the trailer park or maybe vecna's nighmare realm ๐คค i can already feel my bank account sighing.
If we get fnaf I'm legit going to ######### uninstall the game tho

Dam, Buffy the Vampire Slayer is a cool Idea. Never thought about that. But i don't see it as a full Chapter, more like a Mid-Chapter. But we'll see soon, we really don't have that long. The next Chapter will be out this Mouth/August. And there will be the Teaser, PTB and all that, so in about two Weeks know the next Chapter.

I feel like the next survivor will be a girl, as we've had a few male ones recently (Vittorio, Renato, Gabriel, Nic Cage) and only one recent female (Thalita). So I'm hoping it's Alien with Ellen Ripley.

Chapters typically release around level 3โs release. By then, the teasers and PTB will have have happened some time ago.
As for guesses, Iโm gonna go on a limb and say Terminator. For the sole reason that heโs just appeared in Fortnite.

I feel like next chapter will have 2 survivors. Except Silent Hill, all of big licenses came with 2 survivors. Old chapters did not included ofcourse.

It won't be either F13 or IT.
F13 feels too soon from it's lawsuit to be doing a collab with another video game and IT is a Stephen King IP, which means it's straight up not gonna happen.
Whatever the License is gonna be, i know it's not gonna be any of the IPs i've wanted for this game like the movie Phantasm, so i'll just keep my hopes on the low and hope whatever it ends up being got good gameplay.

I don't see it being F13, it feels like it's far too soon. I don't like the idea of Alien, just doesn't feel like it fits dbd, but then again who knows? Guess we'll just have to wait and see. Better not be FNAF though.

My wishlist is:
1ste - A Warhammer 40K. They put it on the Survey as an option, and I will not let it go. GIVE ME MY KHORNATE DEMON KILLER!!!!
2de - Alien. I'm a big fan of the franchise and I am very very curious as what they do with the Xenomorph. Ripley will always be a welcome addition.
3rd - Candyman - Adding BEES right after Nicolas Cage will be the best joke BHVR have ever done.

1979's Phantasm
One of the most interesting things about that movie is that at first Don Coscarelli made about an eight hour movie that started 3 days before The Tall Man even showed up. Of course, the studio said no way, you have to cut it down so he did. He started with Tommy already being dead. However, in later sequels he liberally took from his deleted footage to flesh out the backstory of the characters. It's a rather unique series in that respect, as not many movies can incorporate completely "new" scenes with the original actors at the age they were in 1979 i a 2016 movie (that's when the final film, Phantasm: Ravager was released, The Tall Man''s actor (Angrus Scrimm )passed away when the film was in post-production.)

There's a large part of me that wants to see the absolute shitstorm that would happen if it's FNAF and me being right in the middle.
Butttttt, I do kinda like this game, so I suppose I'd rather not see that.
The dream is Stranger Things 2 though. I don't think anyone would have a problem with that

Another killer no one will play after their achievements are done, 1 trash perk, 1 meh perk, 1 OP perk survivors will complain about until its nerfed. Maybe a bad map?
I really think they should make a 2v8 mode the new chapter oneday.
Id personally love a robert englund freddie though.

Less is more doesn't apply here. Id prefer a QOL or a map chapter with 3 new maps added for existing killers such as Blight, Twins, GF, Trickster etc

Even though I don't personally want any of these, I'd be very happy for everyone who wants the following characters if that's what we get:

- Slenderman

Personally I would really like to see a chapter on the Predator. I know its more of an 'action' based franchise, but I'd still love to see how they do the thermal vision through the mask and to be able to use even just a few of the gadgets Predators use just sounds like so much fun.

The Entity can't control or feed off of Pyramid Head and Pinhead. Both of them are in the Entity's realm more or less by choice and have the power to leave. They just so happen to do things that benefit the Entity.

Not to change the topic of the thread, but Knight and Skull Merchant are extremely similar in design. They both place things that can guard locations. The Knight can place guards that patrol and the Skull Merchant can place....Drones that patrol.. The Knight has different guards that move more than the SM drones, but that's still far too similar. These characters are like copy/paste of each other damn near. I can see that the idea to make them seem more unique was there, but it didn't really work out.

I'd love 40k as a long time fan and player. I'd at least love some skins. Oni would be perfect a World Eaters marine. My ideal killer would be a Lictor though.

Pinhead and by extension all Cenobites come from a specific Hell Dimension and traverse through different dimensions to seek out and explore the furthest reaches of pleasure and pain. What facilitates there summoning is usually someone solving the Lament Configuration. People who solve open a gateway to the dimension they are in and cenobites comes through it. Cenobites usually will take the person who solves the configuration back to their dimension to experiment/torture them. Pinhead's lore in DBD is rather sparse, but that is how they function in their own franchise.
In Pyramid Head's case he's agreed to carry out punishment in a similar manner he had in Silent Hill. The Entity doesn't really control him and it is likely if he felt his purpose was completed he'd disappear much the same way they referenced in his lore.
When his duty was complete and his presence no longer needed, he prepared for the long rest โ and yet, his skills were required elsewhere. The Fog that streamed over him was somehow different than that he was accustomed to in Silent Hill, as if each wisp contained the nerves of a creature, writhing, seeking him out.
There was an unspoken agreement in that moment. The billowing cloud was an invitation to duty and sadism, and Pyramid Head, taking a step into The Fog, accepted his obligation once more.

The walking dead has humanoid villains I don't see it in Dbd, Negan or governor are same thing than Legion basically.

Yeah I agree with that. I don't really see a Walking Dead chapter ever happening tbh.. Would Negan be the Killer? No thanks. xD Many people overestimate the Walking Dead for this game. Maybe Rick/Daryl as Survivors but no more than that.

Knight is at his strongest splitting pressure between survivors or double teaming one survivor, SM is at her strongest contesting gens and making them impossible to complete.
If you're only making stationary guards to guard hooks and gens then that's a bad knight players not using him anywhere near his full potential. Knight is disgusting in chase where SM is mediocre at it.

I'll give you that, but at their base principles, the idea is really the same thing. It's the same as Pig crouch moving at 3.6m/s and Ghost Face crouch moving at 3.8m/s. Apples and oranges isn't different enough for me personally. Most people who play these Killers play them the same way also, which is a problem the developers should rectify down the line. I actually really like Knight, but making a worse yet more annoying version of his play style was a dumb idea..

Right. But i hope to see The Walking Dead as a Mid-Survivor-only-Chapter. It work's perfactly fine, they did the same with Ash Williams, since Evil Dead also doesn't really have Killer to choose from.
