From the teaser it's 100% like Hawkins but darker. Ghost Face is gonna be disgusting on that map.

I'm confident it will be an indoor map. This chapter appears to be based on the first movie, where much of the action took place aboard the Nostromo. The interiors also reflect this, especially of the dining area which featured the infamous chest-burster scene.
I'm gonna see if there are any maps of the original ship (somebody may have made one for fun). If so, I'll paste it back here.
Edit: I found this map based on the Nostromo which was converted into a board game called "Alien: Fate of the Nostromo". Apparently, the floor plan is pretty accurate, so I'm imagining the map will follow this design mostly:

Definitely an indoor map which I’m very happy about as I wish we’d have more. I like indoor maps the best as they typically are strongest for the weaker killers that could use the help.

This one is from Alien Isolation, the Torrens which is the same model as the Nostromo.
Then there's this one. All similar layouts but with different scales. I imagine it'll be a bit more like this to allow for wider corridors and more complete loops.

Maybe the ship will already be landed and we just escape the trial by running out into a planet? I'm not sure tbh. It would be cool if there was a new escape animation like maybe survivors get into escape pods and leave into space or something.

I expect it to be indoors, but I'm not going to despair. I want to believe BHVR can make an indoor map that's not as terrible as Hawkins.

Not just that, but Hawkins was a good map, it rewarded having good map knowledge and awareness, and some of the loops were insane if you knew how to ran them.
Most Survivors (fortunately) either didnt care enough to learn it or were not skilled enough when the map was out to understand that (not that I blame them, I use to hate the map for awhile until I learned how to play it).

am surprised with these comments, nostalgia really is blinding.
hawkins was an awful map full of unsafe pallets and rooms where you couldn't use your power well with a lot of killers yes it had a good vibe and unique loops but it wasn't good for gameplay.
and others want an indoor map when the devs have not made a single good indoor map they're either stupidly Survivor sided and very boring like the game and lery's or killer sided like midwich and rpd was horrible till it got a rework so why do we need others??
i just hope this new one is good but press x to doubt

Not nostalgia, I always liked Hawkins.
I stockpiled a ton of HNL ID offerings when they announced it was leaving, and then they deleted all of the offerings two weeks early, robbing me of the chance to use them. :(
Indoor maps are great. Most maps in general are great. It's just that DBD players are killjoys allergic to fun.

please let it be the nostromo, salunco, lv-426 with the xeno hive as the basement with specail hooks one of which has the queen kill you instead of my parent (the entity), or the ship from isolation ,or that predator hunting ground temple from avp

I desperately want more indoor maps.
Compared to outdoor maps, we don't have nearly enough of them and they're the kind of variety that i need when it comes to maps.

I mean it's pretty much a lock it'll be indoor. It kinda has to be.
And even if it were nothing but hallways it wouldn't be any worse than the Singularity's map.
And I'm here for it, tbh (though I'm sure I'll grumble about it every time I load in as Huntress, lol). I miss Hawkins.
Plus the Nostromo seems ripe for some good ol' SM Myers hijinks

My issues with the indoor maps are I can't find gens, I can't find survs, I can't find rooms, I can't find my own arse. In either role.
Visually they all are stunning, but gameplay wise...

I like them because of their layout, they benefit stealth killers and ambush killers more than outdoor maps does.
Also when it comes to finding things on indoor maps, there's usually some reoccuring patterns throughout all of the indoor maps in dbd, locations are either the same everytime or rooms have hints like flickering lights to indicate Generator nearby.
Either way, repetition is usually the fastest way to learn an indoor map.

That's definitely a matter of experience. RPD has become a favourite of mine as a survivor.
And as a killer, well I tend to play stealth killers, and indoor maps are great for those. If there were more indoor maps in rotation I wouldn't need to worry about using map offerings so much. And if you struggle finding survivors on any map, you should try to run some info perks. At the very least Lethal Pursuer.

No, obviously it will just be the vast emptiness of space. Gens, hooks and pallets will randomly float around and all characters (except the 2 new ones) will die instantly because they can't breathe
