Why does it have to be Alien?
I get it, it's an enormous franchise that has defined the horror genre in the 80's, but I personally do not think a Xenomorph, nor any of the crew on the Nostromo would fit in this game. We just got a sci-fi/space chapter, so including another back-to-back isn't great.
There are plenty of contenders who stand higher up on the requested chapter roster, but none stand higher than what the current generation of mascot horror has bestowed upon us. Give us Jumbo Josh.
It's what the streets demand.

You can beg all you want. I've seen one person ask for this and he did it as a joke. I've seen everything from outlast to fnaf to it to until dawn to predator to bioshock asked for, and all of those would be better options than...this

Alien is the most scary movie I have seen when I watched it 1984 just 6 years old. Was so scared trying to sleep I cried every night for 3 weeks. Amazing memories! I hope they make an interesting fun to play and fun to play against killer..but we will see about that.
Alien is probably the only interesting/cool killer left to get into the game. From here on there will only be to me unknown killers like Candyman or another Freddy people talk about here.

We wouldn't have to worry about BHVR making a killer like SM or Sadako if they decided to add Jumbo Josh instead of a Xenomorph

I don't think BHVR could ever censor enough of the game to fit in with "Garten of Banban". It makes films like "A Clockwork Orange" or "A Serbian Film" look like "Sesame Street". Please be aware of the PTSD this could put everyone through.

The rights reverted by to Victor Miller, but only the stuff from the very first screenplay and flim. That covers the camp, pamela, kid jason, basically the elements that make up the first film. Everything else past the first film is still Cunningham's apparently, but licensing is still a murky proposition considering the Camp Crystal Lake show was free to use everything, but I guess also hit issues?
Long story short, it might not be worth the headache to figure out on top of the potential cost.

The impact Garten of Banban has had on the horror game genre is leagues more important than what FNAF had to offer. No jokes, gags, goofs, gaffs, or laughs here.
Edit: I think Security Breach really helps accentuate the point.

BanBan has had even less of an effect on the horror game genre than Poppy Playtime chapter 2 and Baldi's Unreal Basics.

It's a funny question to ask for a number of reasons. For one thing, it is already set in stone. It doesn't matter what anyone in the world says or thinks at this point. Alien will be the next killer. It's also a huge franchise that has been requested since licensed killers were a thing in this game. There is lots of hype around this chapter so lots of people looking forward to it coming out.

I'll be in the minority but I'm not at all excited about this addition. This had to be something they were working on for awhile and if they knew they were trying then why did they do end transmission? That's a knock off alien and now, we more outer space sci-fi stuff.
Personally, I'd rather go in a new direction. Go with the Lost Boys, or The Shining or as others have said Candyman. So many options and this was literally the worst one they could go with.

Like above Miller owns the rights to the first movie Cunningham owns the rights to adult Jason, but can't use him in anything without Millers permission. Miller can't use adult Jason without Cunningham permission
How I understand the ruling is they both have to agree and work together for there to be anything with adult Jason. One says NO then there's nothing.
Also Cunningham doesn't want Miller making money off of adult Jason. That's probably the main reason why I feel Friday the 13th Jason franchise is dead.

dont get me wrong i do want something iconic from my time as a kid like with what we have with current licences but this one aint it chef sorry. its better if it were either FNAF or Slenderman. a few mentions could be some of the other iconic creepypasta characters as skins for killers like jeff for legion, rake for ghostface etc.

Everyone knows the best horror films are when you don't show the monster, it builds the biggest suspense. The fact I know what Alien is but have no idea who or what Jumbo Josh is makes it clear that he/it is far more terrifying and fitting for DBD.
