Respawning Totems...
So something clearly needs to be done about totems. I also feel something needs to be done to cut down on so-called "gen rushing". I think respawning totems might fix both issues. Treat them just like hooks, once they're destroyed they respawn in a new location 3 minutes later. It gives a break from the power of the totem and then gives survivors a reason to go searching for them again.
It also opens up new perk options for survivors and killers. A "totem hunter" perk that increases the time and then I guess we already have Thrill of the Hunt to prolong how long it takes to destroy them.
Maybe not a perfect situation but as someone who 50/50s killer/survivor I kind of like it.

Nice idea

Instead of respawning, maybe it just lights another free totem (might have to increase the number of totems on the map to consider those who run all totem builds..rare but still an option)...then it takes people off gens to make sure all totems are broken. To help with this, totem cleansing times can be increased, so all totems can't be destroyed really quickly. This in turn would buff Thrill of the hunt too.

Would mean NOED is even more powerful as you (probably) won't ever get all the totems off the map before they start respawning.3

So the totem would respawn right when the gates are powered...

if they assign 1 totem, before the match, as the NOED totem then i could probably get behind your idea. that way we have a chance to cleanse it. otherwise with the way it is written up, the next unused hex totem would become the NOED totem, basically it would always be active no matter how many totems i cleanse.0

with your idea, all killers would run NOED, knowing that there is basically no way to get all 5 totems off the field, and keep them off, while trying to make sure everyone is unhooked, doors opened, and still stay away from the killer. I am not completely knocking your idea, but trying to keep it realistically powered.0

They just need to make the totems darker. They are to easy to find.

What about an Offering that would be visible to burn that let everyone know, "This game totems will respawn" or "this game hex's will jump from totem on destruction"? Then survivors go in with the "Find all the totems" mindset to buy killers some extra time. Idk just throwing it out there.
I think making them respawn would HAVE to be tied into some perk or something as that's not just a rework as much as a huge change since hex perks were balanced through being able to turn them off. (imo)

@ZombieGenesis I think we'd see a re-work to make hex perks better before a way to keep hex perks longer (even though both would be nice :chuffed: )
