How would you feel about iron will being buffed to 100%?

Still keep the exhausted penalty, but buff it from 75% to 100%.

Interesting you bring that up bestie! It use to be 100%, personally I think the 75% should remain, primarily because not everyone runs exhaustion perks so those players could pretty much eliminate one of the killers tracking method for no drawbacks, I believe that's the reason it could have been nerfed to begin with

Fun facts with Hexy! You can get 100% iron will! Run off the record or play as ace 🤪

It would affect almost nothing anyway so it would be a why not, it would not be a real buff but if it makes people switch to that perk then its still good for the game overall because lets face it perk variety and meta worship has been one of the biggest problems since 2017.

People underestimate how silent the perk makes someone and how even a few meters make a survivor using this perk nearly unhearable. Throw in the fact that generators, killer powers, other survivors, notifications etc all mask the sound of an iron-will user very well and i'd argue that it would not affect the Killer outside of very niche situations.

IW is fine the way it is now. 75% is still very quiet for most survivors, but it’s enough of a difference from complete silence that, combined with the exhausted restriction, it’s not overpowered anymore. Not being able to use it while exhausted isn’t enough of a downside to warrant it being 100% imo.

Nah leave it dead. I'd rather god validation dh than old IW. Rn IW is fine in a mft build, old OW just gained value out of nowhere. Probably top 5 worst designed perks of all time.

Make it 100%, but make it actually apply Exhaustion itself so that you literally couldn't stack it with another Exhaustion. Giving up an Exhaustion perk for 100% seems fair.

Outrageous. We can't have that. I say nerf it to 25% that would be more balanced.

Also it should make you scream ocasionally so you can't hide forever.

As much as I'd love to say it's still a good perk, it's really an all-or-nothing situation. A killer player with headphones will be able to hear you with or without Iron Will, so the perk is not worth using in the current year.

I think they should definitely do that buff, since Iron Will was never the biggest problem anyway when Old old Dead Hard was a thing. It would become a strong but not overbearing perk. And couldn't be used too well with exhaustion perks. As we all know, there's another perk that gives a strong effect but doesn't work when exhausted; Made for This. Given the choice between IW being 100% and MFT, I think people would rather have quiet survivors.

And I can already envision the situations people would make up in their head about Lucky Break + Iron Will...

There was a good suggestion from @Blueberry to make it cause the Exhaustion itself, so that it truly couldn't be paired with the perks. I think that would be worth the silence.

Lets assume a much better universe where MFT doesn't exist and/or it has been rightfully nerfed into the ground.

I would rather it be 75% but remove exhaustion penalty

Keep the exhaustion penalty, but buff it to 90%.

Meh... I think it works amazingly well at 75% anyway, so honestly making it 100% isn't going to change a hell of a lot.

Nah 100% is way too much especially with made foe this in the game. What if they just raised it to 82%?

It was problematic with 100% due to its synergy with dh.

It now has synergy with made for this.

I dont see a buff being necessary.

i dislike old IW because of how it promoted hold-w gameplay with wall blockers. it made mindgames on killer a risky gamble.

I'd rather remove Exhaustion part and keep 75%.

Stridor needs more love than current Iron Will to be frank.

Nah. You can easily just not run any exhaustion perks and have perma 100% sound reduction. The killer is unlikely rubbing any exhaustion inflicting perks of addons because they are largely bad.

100% sound reduction is only fine when it's attached to an actual condition abi and a limited duration.

Besides 75% is fine because it can be masked by other noises in the game.

Please no. With Lucky Break being way more popular than back in the days this would severely punish killers for playing without head phones, while doing little against those that do use them. With head phones the killer can hear your footsteps without too much of an issue.

Also, Iron Will is completely fine the way it is. The devs could maybe drop the exhaustion thing but otherwise it's great and as Mandy (I think it was her) has stated before, they do not want survivors to be completely silent anymore.

If it'd apply exhaustion and have an effect of always showing scratch marks - Sure, I wouldn't mind.. But as long as you can hide your scratch marks with certain perks and aren't inflicted with exhaustion status effect, buffing any higher would be really unnecessary.
