If they ever add anime licenses do you think some of them should come with a chapter or just skins?

Well, they already have added one, that is Attack on Titan. They were outfits for the survivors, except for the killer ones were Legendaries.

As for other licenses? Hmm. I think it depends on the anime, like one that would be a lot of fun would be Cutie Honey, especially since she's an android shapeshifter and has many outfits. Her perks would be a lot of distraction type stuff?

Though even better would be if they based it on the 2004 Live Action (which was released alongside Re: Cutie Honey, a remake of the original 1973 series.)

Honey Kisaragi, Seiji Hayami (the reporter), Natsuko Aki (the cop), and Kyōko Izumiya (a janitor... or is she?) as survivors.

The Killer would probably be Sister Jill, or MAYBE Panther Zora, but it would be more likely Zora would have contacted The Entity and been like "Can you get this Honey $*&*## out of my way? I'll give you Sister Jill too."

Well Death note would be a very interesting concept, but it would probably play really badly if the killer had to walk around "finding the survivor names" like old Freddy before he could do harm to them. Better off being a collection of outfits.

What killer would Ryuk from Death Note look best as? Probably the Wraith. I'd be down for that being a skin.

It writes itself, really. Those are the biggest characters but they could probably have Renato be Mello, and Plague be another Shinigami if they wanted an even number of outfits.

I saw Shiki on the last survey which got me really excited but to be perfectly honest there's only so many horror anime's that even exist so it was probably only on there for completion's sake but it would definitely fit. I just don't want a third japanese ghost killer two is enough.

That will never happen again, they have said. They now make sure that all future chapter licenses will be negotiated for the life of the game. That is NOT the case however for skins, as we saw with the recent removal of the Attack on Titan skins from the store.

I be also fine with having more anime skins too. But only depending on what the anime skins are.

Where have they said that? All they've said is that no matter what content being removed is always a possibility due to how licencing content works.

I want to be able to use Bites the Dust when survivors are T-bagging at the exit.

If we get more anime licenses I would prefer just skins that have unique sounds and lobby music. I can't really think of an anime that could be an actual chapter (Ideally with a killer) aside from maybe Death Note. I'm not even a huge Death Note fan but that's the only one off the top of my head that could work.

There are plenty of shows I'd love to see outfits from the shows reach DBD for some characters. I know it's likely an unpopular opinion but Jojo's Bizarre Adventure while I'd agree thematically has no place in DBD - there are a couple of outfits for some characters that would look good on some of the killers. Kill La Kill is another one but that one is too suggestive for the obvious picks. I'll make the meme suggestion and say Dio's part 3 outfit for Trickster.

I don't watch much anime though so past the interest in cosmetics I don't have much else to add. I'll take note of some suggestions on this thread though on what to watch.

Maybe he didn't say it. Maybe I am remembering wrong. I don't have a transcript of every livestream as wonderful as that would be, so all I can say is I remember him saying that they were going to try to make sure that another Stranger Things incident couldn't happen in the future.

And since we both don't remember that being said at all, and in fact remember the opposite being said, then yeah I feel like you're misremembering. There's no need to get so shirty ab it tho like just say you couldn't find the livestream 💀

There's plenty of horror themed animes that would fit dbd.

Tokyo ghoul would be a good one, ooh or parasyte.

Anime licences are fairly expensive - at least going through my previous knowledge, when Bleach Brave Souls (which is licenced off of the anime) was trying to run TYBW characters (from the manga) they had to get an entirely different licence and it was so expensive they had to stop doing it for 2 years to recover 💀.

Also most licences require a flat fee plus royalties, and it's entirely possible the royalties are just too much.

While i love Higurashi, anyone who has no idea what it is, is gonna wonder why the hell cute anime girls are murdering people, and it will be weird for non-fans.
