Bug fix should improve animation to match the gameplay. Not gameplay to match the animation :D

Animation needs to be changed in order to fit the real speed. Not the opposite. You can not expect to make changes into core gameplay when whole game is balanced around it.

It was doing more than it should have (more than the stated/intended changes), but fully reverting it isn't great. Hopefully they don't just roll it back and leave it.

Yeah I am hoping for some kind of middle-man, the amount of times I get smacked over windows when I am on the other side running is insane.
This has been the most fluid looping has felt since the old survivor animations were in the game and I am gonna miss it.

You basically can't get hit with a current fast vault, unless the killer's like breathing on you when you do it. It's like getting an old Dead Hard every time.

The one downside is that quickly double back vaulting is nearly impossible because of the distance from the window. But I agree it probably is too strong.

But you are not actually on the otherside running. On the killers screen you were clearly and cleanly hit. This is the part survivors are not grasping it's called rollback.
Killers get roll back at pallets all the time. Where on the survivor screen the survivor clearly cleanly git the stun but on killers screen they weren't close enough to get stunned.
Both sides have a rollback that favors them.
Window rollback favors killer, pallet rollback favors survivor.
Everyone needs to just deal with it.

Male survivors are going much further than they should There are tons of videos about it. It is so bad that in the tutorial, you are supposed to vault a window and get stuck in a trap, and you don't get stuck in the trap, because you vault clean over it.

It's a deserved change, it doesn't really matter how fast you vault when getting locked in animation means I know exactly where you are and can blink/rush/phase/sprint/bound/punish/whip you, it mainly hurts M1 killers which is a terrible idea, and exactly why you see so much Wesker and Blight.

I like your name. SH2 is my all time favorite.
I think most rollback in the game favors killers to be honest, I understand it plenty. The game still has the DNA from when killers used to host matches left over.
I am just hoping that when they change it they don't just plainly revert so that both sides are evenly represented, update the animation so neither side feels screwed over. I am fine with them leaving if it still feels nice to play. Current (old? like the rollback giving killers hits version) windows feel as bad as old DH hit validation IMO.

While i hate mft with the current fast vaults ; this is just TERRIBLE .
WHY REVERTING BACK TO THE OLD BROKEN AND GENEROUS VAULTS? instead of something in the middle?

The distance on live is insane. - Esp. on male survivors. Agreed. That needs to be changed.
But fiddling with the distance to mitigate insane killer ping (you know, the one where you're vauting into a TL and are pretty much on the other side already and then get smacked) seems to have worked; there were a lot less hits-from-the-moon and a lot of hits by killers on red ping (ping icon) that shouldn't have hit actually didn't hit. Felt nice.
So I am all for fiddling with the vault speed/distance until we reached a point where high ping doesn't reward the killer while also not robbing killers of legitimate window hits.

Very much this with the latency. The fast vaults feel fine when I play with my friends 3 time zones apart, but are OP on my own server.

Wow, even the killer bots are whining now? Kidding, but that's funny. But, as you say, it's also proof that this isn't as the OP says, just killers whining, it's an actual issue that needs to be fixed, and in the mean time, that means returning it to normal. Hopefully by the time Alien comes out they can properly fix and test proper vaults. We'll see.
