The Plague's power impressions
So i just played some games as a survivor against the new killer. Fun times. But her power needs tweaked to be decent.
As it stand,s her power has 3 major weakness'.
1: Even after reaching full sickness you can fountain cleanse. This takes almost all the threat away from it, and you have essentially made another Deep Wounds. Except that it ticks faster in the chase. I know it's a fundemental shift of the mechanic, but it's not that good.
If someone fails to cleanse them self in time, they should be sick for the rest of the game. This would put pressure on the survivors to heal it.
--------------------------
2: Damaging Vomit is cool, but means nothing if they heal to healthy from the cleanse. Maybe increase the buff time for this, but it's kinda like leatherface chainsaw. Sure he gets a speed boost, after letting the survivor get far enough away that it's pointless.
-------------------
3: Infected objects don't stay infected long enough. In my last game, i wanted to test cleansing after reaching full sick. When the killer chased me from a gen, smacked it, and puked on it. I actively ran back to try and get sick, and the infection on the generator was gone before i even got there. And I was TRYING TO GET SICK.
Anyways, these are what i noticed. i hope the devs tweak her and make her stronger, cause she is underwhelming atm
I'm interested in what other people think. especially killer mains.

If they fail to cleanse in time they should either a) get the broken status effect or b) enter the dying state. SOMETHING. And cleansing at a fountain should only heal the infection, not the wound as well. As it stands, the killer has no reason to infect someone then chase someone else. Right now infecting doesn’t help much at all really, you might as well just hit them. Plus with her being so tall she can be looped to death. And I agree infection on objects needs to last longer as well. A few tweaks and I think she could be good but as of right now, she’s pretty meh.

I've been doing poorly but winning - though one was a noed crutch and 2 were moris.
The other killers ive seen have done awful and ALL of them just tunnel. Its shocking because they're red ranks but playing like rank 15s.
However I put this down to my own inexperience with the killer right now rarther than a weakness in the killer. I know I can do better with trapper without barely using traps.
I've just been experimenting really. Using the puke in a chase and little else.
It seems it takes some time to put them into the broken status, and that's with add ons to increase the effectiveness. However I don't think it gives them the speed boost than a regular M1 attack would so that's good. I figure I would be better off just hitting them twice. Puking and then waiting for them to be injured feels a bit like Legion, hitting then following etc, though not as long. I often get impatient and hit them anyway which meant I wasted that time vomiting on them.
I figure the puke is best as a game slower. Discordance could be good. Vomit on one to force them to go cleanse then chase the other the standard way.
I went to a gen that was on but couldnt see anyone nearby. So i puked on the gen. I walk away and about a minute later I get a notification that someone has used a nearby fountain. So they touched the gen then had to go run and heal. So I go to the fountain, then follow the path back to that gen and find them. That was a nice waste of the survivors time and it allowed me to find them so that's great.
I haven't really tinkered with the corrupt purge. Finding the right time when to take that since it takes you time to get there and only lasts for a specific duration will take experience. It does seem very strong though. It's almost an instadown. You puke on them, they don't get the speed boost, and the cooldown before you can M1 is very short. So she feels a bit like huntress in that regard when you can chain 2 hits quickly.
This seems like a weird killer. A bit more complex than the rest. Right now I'm thinking the discorance strategy might be good. I also feel the vomit is good if you dont wish to commit to a chase with a survivor. For example say they run into the fortress aka crotus asylum. You could vomit when they get to the pallet to slow them down and then break chase. That way you've got something out of breaking chase without having to commit to chasing through such a time wasting part of the map.
Likewise the puke came in handy on the haddonfield basement loop. Vomit on a guy and it affects vaults too. He was running the loop but became injured due to the vomit and he couldn't do anything about it. I had time to commit to the chase so it only took 1 hit, but likewise I could have left him to go mess about looking for a fountain and found an easier targer.
Dare I say it this killer has a little bit of a Legion feel. A strange game slowing power that will tske some getting used to. Unlike Legion though she isn't 110% so doesn't have that same handicap.
I've only had 3 games so far so what do I know but I'm going to try and "git gud" with her. Just a little tricky when the survivors are bringing all their best items and offerings lol purple flashlights, instaheals and keys everywhere!

Update:
It seems that if you puke on someone that is already sick, youw ill progress them to full sick immediately. That's not to bad, but probably a bug.

Question: If you don’t use the corrupted wells to empower your ability, will the wells eventually be cleansed over time?

If the survivors heal from every single well, therefore corrupting them all, all wells will cleanse.

That makes no sense. And it kills a strategy for the plague to forgo her damaging purge in order to keep the survivors infected.

I do like the visual effect it has on survivor screen. I feel like its just enough to cause accidental snags and wrong turns.
