Do SM mains actually enjoy wasting an whole hour just for one match?
(The question itself is in the title. Nothing unusual, just a small rant about...merchant.)
No but seriously, do y'all find it amusing to go back and forth back and forth to the same 3 last gens without actually trying to kill at least one survivor? of course, this "tactic" ALWAYS makes them win, at least 95% of the time, but only because the survivors can't do their main objective in order to escape, which is repair. sorry to say this, but walking in a circle for whole 40+ minutes wasting not just yours but also other 4 people's time isn't considered a skill. it immediately makes me frustrated when i hear her terror radius; and literally everyone that i go against that plays as her just takes away my time when i could've finished at least 3 different matches if i didn't get matched with that person.
I think this is why we all hate her as a killer, right? Not because "op" as usual but because it's so time-consuming; all you have to do is just walk around without actually playing the game.
Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.

As Otz once says...
"She doesn't have feelings! She's playing NURSE!"
Same thing can be said to sm "chess player".=)

A lot of them do enjoy it, yes.
The Killer attracts a lot of the worst elements from our community, unfortunately.

right, i forgot to mention that if the player is using that skin, then i'll gladly...enjoy the game...no questions asked.

theyre just better. clearly chess grandmasters.
i know its as low as the pickrate of twins, but some sm mains do in fact try to use her drones as an chase power. However, those players must play in a small ass server region cause im not seeing any lmao

I assume the answer is easy.
they wouldn't be doing it, if they weren't getting something out of it.
2 -
There's unfortunately alot of players on both sides that really just enjoy wasting other people's time by keeping them the game.
2 -
as i said, going forward and back in the same circle isn't really "getting something". to add, they just waste their time even more by doing so. if they played normally, then yes, they'd get something like every other killer.

if they don't get anything out of it, why are they doing it then?
it does not have to be the gameplay or kills, it could be reaching the 1 hour mark and seeing everyone dieing, it could be the salt in chat, it could be the dcs, they could just really hate the regular gameplay...
they simply MUST be getting something out of it. because otherwise, why would they even bother?

I have to admit, once I got the hang of her power, it felt weird and a bit funny playing the game in such a way after nearly 3k hours of playing normally, of course it got boring pretty quick after a couple matches, the only comparison I can make is that she feels like the inverse of bullying an M1 killer.
I find it funny that the killer that's best for bullying survivors isn't even the strongest, when I play Nurse against babies it's a clean 12 hook game in under 8 minutes, but with Skull Merchant, you know what you're doing before you queue in, you can't pretend you aren't doing what you're doing, and watching the gens slowly go down is pretty satisfying, so all in all, no, I don't enjoy those games, mainly cause I've never had them, survivors gave up way before we even got to 40 minutes, but I'll relish in my 100% win-rate of 8 games before she gets her deserved rework.

just ask them yourself.
people who like to annoy others on purpose do exist, especially in DBD

You are the one who said "going forward and back in the same circle isn't really "getting something". to add, they just waste their time even more by doing so"
0 -
what are you trying to say?
they can annoy others but that doesn't make them gain anything
0 -
Yes. They do get something from this.
Just cause you don't know what it is, doesn't mean it's not a thing
0 -
how exactly do you know? are you one of them perhaps? if so, then please tell me, expert

It's human nature. People do stuff because they get something from it. Otherwise they would not do it.

I don't think they enjoy doing it, because then they could go into a Custom Game and do it against bots. They are doing it because they like knowing they're making the game miserable for other people. They like the power trip they get from knowing they're wasting everyone's time, making them frustrated and miserable and knowing there's nothing the average survivor team can do.
Sadly there are just people like that in the world.

"It's just chess, bro."
In all honesty, I have no idea. I mean, I get it for a game of basement Bubba. Sometimes you just feel like you want to take it easy and that is definitely an option.
But Chess Merchant is different. How do you even stay awake that whole time? I've had matches where I was held hostage by cheaters and even that was probably more fun than playing Chess Merchant.

Yeah I've noticed this too. If you manage to break the 3 gen they're usually terrible at chase and they'll hit everything but the survivor when they swing
1 -
if you play swf and can communicate, but still don't manage to broke the 3 gen, you should ask if it's not a "skill issue", I played 3v1 with solo q (one didn't feel like playing against SM and killed himself on the hook ) so 3v1 SOLO Q against a good 3 gen, only I was the person who hit the overcaharg skill checks (without a sound addon) and that led to us being able to do the gen
why we have still 3 gens to go, its cause it was an 3v1 and my two mates have already attacked the 3 gens, but we made it :D sorry but solo q >>> swf (in that moment) xD

Yeah I saw a tiktok where this guy dc'd after trying to get one to sacrifice him, and then watched to see what they did once every person had dc'd. The skull merchant then played normally and tried to get the match done with as quickly as possible. Such weird energy for them to switch up against bots but play like that against actual players.
