Killer's just too strong.

I've reached I think Silver 3 on Survivor, god I wish to not get to red ranks as survivor.

And throught the game I can put my hand on my hearth and say "Killer's just a tad too strong..."

I've escaped maybe once in 10-15 games, and on record we've had 2 4-men escapes but only because the killers were trolling.

There are so,so many games where a 4K happens at 1-3 generators left.

Generally speaking, this game's not friendly for survivors or interactive enough.

Will we get new ways to escape or something else to repair/do as survivors?

It feels very repetitive and unrewarding.

First of all, welcome to DbD! It can be a little rough here, but if you stick around a little more, you´ll see that you can easily sink a couple thousand hours into this game.

Now, ranks only exist to give you a bloodpoint payout at the 13th of each month. Ranks have absolutely no influence on who you are getting matched with/against.

I´d recommend you also play a bit of killer to see what killers actually can see. It generally helps in becoming a better survivor and vice versa.

When you start playing survivor, the game will feel massively killer sided. And when you start playing killer, it will feel very easy.

As you play more and your MMR raises, the game will get more difficult for killer and easier for survivor. This is due to your teamates spending the majority of their time on generators and less self-caring in a corner/hiding in lockers. Keep in mind all generators can be finished in under 4 minutes if the killer does not apply any pressure except by chasing one survivor.

Also... your solo q teamates will still probably hide in lockers and self care, so try to get a SWF.

I'm a killer main. I play it to relax... which is kind of saying something. It's that easy that it's relaxing! I'm at the stage now where I just play till everyone is second hook and then let them go. I'm not a pro gamer, I'm mid at best, but killer is just that easy now. It takes a seriously good swf team to make me have to actually try hard, and even then there's so many anti gen and detection perks that you can always find people. I don't even feel that nervous energy loading into a killer game anymore, because it's not going to be difficult.

I used to play killer when SWFs would just bully me. Couldn't even land a hook because the whole squad would body block the hook, then speed burst away and self heal. It was very difficult to find survivors. A team full of prestiged Blendettes with ironwill and you were basically never going to see them. If you picked a survivor up you got the 20th century fox spotlights up in your face instantly. The game USED to be super survivor sided and playing killer was torture.

Now you need to be a loop master with a coordinated gen squad to stand a chance. Even if they are that good and you're losing too hard, just tunnel someone out and you've just reduced the survivor's output by 25%. Further, the new killers are increasingly powerful. Why does Chucky have a stealth, an anti palette ability, a dash attack, AND the advantage of being too short to flash light? Compare that with trapper who ... traps... or the wraith who just stealths and unstealths.

I would LIKE to enjoy playing survivor more. I like the skins and I enjoy the rush you get when you do get a solid loop in. I think it really wouldn't hurt to raise the skill ceiling for killers just a bit more. Getting a 4k should come with skill and good strategy. It should not be most games.

(Interestingly, the players I have the most trouble with are the bots when someone leaves. They are clearly programmed with each loop path and seem respond to whatever I do, even when they can't see me. Hackers.)
