The Survivors Animations
Yo i dunno if im the only dumb one but i don't really like the survivors animations it would be cool a rework like the running and standing animations so they feel more alive because with bulky survivors like David,Jeff,Etc they don't feel right they look so goofy

They really gotta be careful, because i think the reason they are so still like is for balancing reasons.
animations while they are standing might give away the positions 2 killer

They used to be better before 4.5.0 reworked them. Initially the animations we have now looked better but felt awful because of these slow transitionary animations they added between every action. To make the game feel better they removed those transition animations, but the new ones look really rough and stiff without them.
They should have just reverted them back to the old ones with some tweaks, they were cartoonish but very fluid and satisfying to look at, I miss them a lot. It was also nice because the default standing position was lower as well, AND you used to be able to nod and look around while crouching and have it show on you character.
It is the one change to the game that I have never gotten used to. I hope that every day BHVR revisits survivor locomotion but I know they won't.

I remember a bit after they first reworked them they said they’d revisit the survivor injured animations but then nothing happened

I didn't play with old animations but man did they look just the worst, so bad I would genuinely stop playing if they came back.

The old animations was legitimately some of the most clunky and awful animations i've seen in video games, i say good ######### riddance to it and never come back.

Old animations made you look like a victim, which is correct. The newer animations give Survivors this entitled posture like they know they are 'better' and more favored by some all powerful force that even created the Entity itself. Oh wait..

There was one PTB where the animations were actually fixed, as in we finally had proper animation frames that showed which direction a survivor was turning to. Unfortunately, these changes were reverted, and we currently have purposely badly animated survivors, so that survivors can have extra chances to dodge killers. The current survivor animations look like hot garbage on the killer's screen, especially when survivors are spinning in a circle, but as long as survivors are happy it's ok, right?

Bingo. In the 4:1 ratio..at least keep the 4 happy. Can't really argue with that business model either.

Nostalgia really does blind some people, huh? Old animations looked so bad compared to the new ones, especially the injured running animation, you would glide across the ground.

I love the lengths that some people will go to to make an us v.s. them argument. I just liked the old ones better holy moly.

At least for me, it is less about look and more about how they feel to play with, the old ones had more motion and I prefer the cartoony motion to the stiff realism we have now. Agree to disagree I guess.
Either way, I am not really asking for the old ones to come back, just for the current ones to improve.

I don't believe the devs when they said they didn't have access to the old animations and HUD. I fully believe they can add them back if they wanted to, they just don't want to look stupid by wasting a good chunk of money over something that no one asked for.

I think generally the new ones are prefered unfortunately. I really just want them to add a bit more fluid motion. The new ones are stiff and ugly.
