The second iteration of 2v8 is now LIVE - find out more information here: https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/kb/articles/480-2v8-developer-update

I can't believe I even have to say this.

Look. DBD,and TCM are two completely different games with completely different game modes. You can't even compare the two.

Secondly if your not having fun with a video game, why are you even playing it? You don't need TCM to stop playing DBD there are thousands of videos games out there, pick one. Stop coming up in forums saying how bad DBD is, or TCM did this better. We don't care. We are here to play DBD if you hate the game then don't play DBD. Stop announcing your departure. Why the are you even doing that? It looks stupid. Go play TCM it isn't gonna kill DBD the two games are completely different. We all can like what we like. Stop making drama.

To some degree I think it's people who are leaving because they feel like the game is unbalanced and has issues and to be fair, they are right.

The posts aren't for you or me or anyone in this community. If I had to guess, these posts are directed at the devs and community managers and so forth. Just venting frustrations in a situation where they feel unheard. And while they are annoying to those of us here to discuss DBD, I promise you that the devs take notice of these posts especially if the numbers increase. And before you say "they don't care about those posts...." They should, any successful business needs to pay attention to it's client base. For every post on here saying they are leaving, there is several people who left without a post. That is a trend that the devs will be interested in.

Remember Everquest? It was the game at one point. The end all be all of MMORPG. Then along came World of Warcraft. People posted they were leaving, other people said why post. The devs waited and well... no one talks about Everquest anymore. It still exist, but it's a shell of what it was. DBD was a unique horror game and now there is competition. This is actually a good thing.

Who cares if they say bye? Let them come here and say it and be gone, everyone knows they'll eventually pick it back up at some point friends will spam you to play DBD even if you quit, people responding feeds it all, if it were ignored all together it wouldn't have any effect, to me its no different than the people who complain 24/7 on here about every little thing but still for some reason play anyway even though in their words the game is awful and unbearable

Don't even worry about it lol every similar game that has come out to date has prompted the same comparison to DBD. I remember when VHS was in beta, their official discord was literally full of DBD discussion. You'd think people would talk about the game in question but nope, just discussing how DBD will fail now. Goes to show how influential DBD is in this corner of the gaming world. People need to understand they *can* enjoy more than one game at the same time.

Well spoken, and equally as well agreed upon

    …especially this part👇🏽

“to me its no different than the people who complain 24/7 on here about every little thing but still for some reason play anyway even though in their words the game is awful and unbearable”

Personally i hope TCM does well and gives little competition to DBD. Competition is not a bad thing. It can start pushing behaviour to do better. Right now they have no competition so they can get lazy and not care about the health of their game.

Its ok to have multiple games that do well, and it's ok to play more than 1 game and enjoy both.

I will play TCM as well, but i will also play DBD.

I agree it needs competition, however saying TCM will give it competition is like saying oh left 4 dead will give it compition cause there both a symmetrical games, and are both horror when they are clearly two different completely games who does different things. Or freaking dead space cause they are both horror. VHS was considered a competitor cause the game modes and how they played were very similar. TCM will not give it any compitition. They aren't anywhere near the same. Friday the 13 game was a comlititor again cause of similar gameplay. TCM will have no effect on DBD. The devs of TCM even said they aren't trying to compete with DBD,and if you even look at the steam charts 13k are playing TCM while 29k are playing DBD.

it's the only thing that can give any kind of competition at the moment though. Yeah they are different and that's a good thing. I wouldnt play a straight copy of DBD. I do see few problems in TCM already. One is Connie. She's too strong and can escape before killers even notice. Two voice chat. People who can use voice chat will be better at the game ( kinda like in dbd ) Three. Maps. They will get repetitive as you learn them and as a survivor you will learn to escape faster and faster.

This being said i still hope they do well.

I hate to see any game flop, and fail, but there already people complaining about how nobody wants to play victim over there, and that it takes too long for matches to get going. There people dcing when they are about to die leaving the killer to get no points, but I'm sure the devs can fix that. Honestly I just don't see that game living for too long. The game mode is very repetitive, and not in a good way. I tested it out during the beta, and after a few matches I was very bored. It's just literally hide, and seek over, and over again. At least DBD introduces new killers with new powers to make things a bit different. I don't see how TCM can do anything like that since there limited to one license. Also 13k at launch isn't really a good sign for a long lasting game.

The TCM devs know that they can't compete with DBD and so far it seems like they won't try. Which is good. TCM is meant to be a party game where as DBD has become more competitive.

So it absolutely makes sense to play both games. If they ever try go the competitive route though, DBD will crush TCM like it did with all the others.

Not really an issue and more of a nitpick, but for a game like tcm where the Survivor gameplay is all about stealth and not being found, the victims really cannot stop commenting and talking about every little thing they see or do, you'd think they would try and stay quiet to avoid being heard and found or at least whisper more.

Also from what i've heard of voicelines so far from Bubba, he doesn't really sound like how he does in the first movie with the pig squealing like noises, i would say dbd still has the most authentic Bubba sounds between the two.

Dunno, I could see the point in stating that Ludo and Football are completely different games, but doing the same for two asymmetrical online murder-tag games doesn't sound like a very good argument to me. But one is definitely not the other, that's for sure.

Anyone who thinks tcm is the dawn on of a new age is naive. But it's good to see some bhvr competition join the fray.

I'm enjoying both games. It's nice to go back and forth between the two.

This they aren't trying to best or even be similar to dbd. They want a simple kfs vs swf and kind of a chill environment. They won't Nerf or buff for efficiency but for qol.
