We all need REFUNDS from steam if they stop family sharing
How are they going to stop family sharing all of a sudden for DLCs and offer absolutely no refunds for cosmetics we have bought for the characters we can no longer play. If you guys got screwed over by this steam patch put in a refund request since we can't use any of the stuff we bought.

I haven't read the TOS, but I'm going to assume it's pretty much like every other TOS ever. "We reserve the right to withdraw access to content without notice, blah blah, not required to offer compensation, yadda yadda."

This, of course, is not a good reason to stop fighting this if you feel its important. But.. more or less, they're probably right. :(

I am suprised Steam allowed this in the first place, including full games. You can still to my knowledge share your main games, just without DLCs.
You can't blame Steam or any other Devs of any game to "omg how dare you charging me for... payed contend that costs money to make".

You still own the cosmetics though. If you buy the character you can still use them.
Stranger Things is the only one that you can’t use them again, so I can understand wanting a refund for those but I don’t know if that’s out of BHVR’s hands considering this is Steam’s decision and I don’t know if Netflix has to agree or not.

I don’t think they offer refunds on micropurchases.
’Sides, you were already playing with paid characters for free. I get that it sucks, but y’all have been taking advantage of a very gracious system for quite some time.

You are paying for a cosmetic and you have em.Its not devs fault steam quit sharing

Other than the fact that you can buy majority of the content...
And for the ST things chapter? Well no DLC through family sharing has beem a steam policy for over four years. You were the one who took the risk on it.

no, what you needed is to legit buy the DLC by yourself and not expect steam to lose money..
good luck getting anything from steam as this is something steam did change bhvr is just following it..

Oh no i cant have free stuff anymore!

Buying Cosmetics for a DLC which was known for being removed without buying the actual characters is just stupid. Sorry to say it this way, but I cannot understand why people paid so much money for the Cosmetics (even when they might have been on discount), but did not spend the few bucks more to actually own the ST-characters. Especially because those were on discount as well.
For any other DLC-character, people can buy the DLC and get access to the Character, their progression and the Cosmetics. But currently people are complaining about not having things which they did not own in the first place.

they can't refund DLC and microtransaction such like aurics sells, on every platform so ... yeah, complicated

You should've buy the characters, they were not yours, it's simple as that. If you lost access to Stranger Things characters though, they were there in store for a long time but you decided not to buy them. Now, all the other characters are in the store and if you buy them, the cosmetics you bought and the grind you put on them, are waiting for you.

You want a refund for being able to use DLCs for free until now?
Non-steam users don't get to share DLC at all.

Actually we do get to share DLCs. Atleast it works on Playstation and Switch, i did it for years with my ex gf.
EDIT: I would NEVER complain and cry for refunds etc if they ever removed that tho.

Steam family share was never intended to work the way it did. You were basically taking advantage of something that shouldn't have been possible to begin with. I don't know Steam's terms of service, but I'm relatively sure they don't offer compensation for you abusing the system. BHVR doesn't refund anything bought with auric cells.

If you have the money to buy cosmetics from the packs you didn't own, then why not just buy the DLC? It sounds like you had plenty of time to do so.

A lot people that are taking sides with the greedy gaming leaders. You guys do realize that people have multiple accounts right? Why would I want to buy the same thing twice..... They already don't have cross progression from console to PC so we had to buy the DLCs twice. They literally just want more money and taking away items/cosmetics from people that put money into their game. Maybe they should stop being selfish and be kind to the players that actually play their game.

This is a Steam issue, not a BHVR issue. Micro transactions (usually) cannot be refunded and also pretty sure Steam even said before really enforcing this that DLCs cannot be family shared. There's really nothing that can be done about it.

No-one is siding with greedy "gaming leaders," they're just not siding with you. There's a subtle difference.
4 -
Why do you have muliple accounts on the same platform?
5 -
I would agree, but BHVR has made it clear that if you buy a DLC of a character you lost you'll still have the cosmetics you bought and the prestige, progress and everything, it's not that you lost something you bought, it's not it's unavailable to you until you buy the necessary DLC that you need for using it.
The only weird case is of course Stranger Things, but if you bought the cosmetics it means you didn't buy the DLC when it was available, knowing it was going to leave. It's unfortunate, but really it's not BHVR's fault either.

Sorry, but this post just screams of entitlement
If you had the money to buy cosmetics (which cost more than most of the DLC's BTW) then you certainly had enough money to buy the DLC outright. Stop being a cheapskate, buy the DLC instead of leeching off someone's account and you'll have your cosmetics back.
I honestly don't understand why people are throwing tantrums that something they never even paid for has been taken away from them. It's like borrowing a friends video game for a week and then getting mad when they want it back.

Was wondering that as well.
I've had the same single account on Xbox for like since they existed.

I'd guess multiple family member playing on the same PC?
But why share the oc and then not use the same account. Doesn't really make sense either way in a game that doesn't have real individual character like MMO/RPG or a REAL ranked ladder mode.

Hahaha all this crying over the loss of something that is cheesed from the beginning.

Smurfing because they got skill issues.
