Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

It has been 1year+ and built in BT is still bad for the game.

I have lost count how many times people have stopped trying to do smart unhooks and just ran to the hook when the Killer is near by to un hook the Surv, even at 5 Gens 1 minute into the game.

Then what happens, well then the un hooker gets downed because of a bad trade and thinks meh it's fine I get the safe unhook, but the Killer is thinking oh look a Surv 5 meters in front of me injured, I don't mind if I do, then proceeds to slug the un hooker and go for the person who was just hooked, and rightly so.

Then everyone shouts TUNNELER! Yet the unhook only happened because of built in BT leading people to do bad un hooks.

I get that it helps with tunneling, but at the cost of players actually strategizing a safe un hook? Personally I don't think it is worth it.

I play both roles evenly and I have the same opinion of this passive from both sides.

I'd love to hear peoples opinions.

i personally think it is a good decision on the behalf of game design. the reason being is because dead by daylight is a time-management game, and that the mending state induced after a hit is a very useful tool in itself. it has to be used appropriately in the correct scenario for either side.
