Jigsaw in DBD as a Legendary Cosmetic? Bad Idea?

A new Saw movie is about to come out and in honors of that, i read some people making suggestions for adding new Skins.

Some of them also talking about Hoffmann as a Legendary.

Obviously, when they started talking about it, i brought in the Idea of John Kramer in his Jigsaw fit being a Killer inside of the game.

Yet when i started to talk about that, everyone seemed negative towars this idea.

The Main reason being that he simply "doesn't fit" DBD Lore and Motive wise, considering He's old and not Agile and the Cancer Limits him.

This puzzled me, so i brought up the Entity's lore as it is and said that it could simply:

  • Modify his Body and cancel out his Medical Conditions.
  • Take John Kramer whilst he wasn't Old and Cancerish.

Considering the Entity was powerful enough to pull in some Survivors and Killers under Extremely demanding Situations.

Like Jane for Example, literally being in the Situation of crashing her Car and being taken Mid-Air in the fall.

The next thing they brought up was his motives being that he simply doesn't want to Kill somebody. He wants to test them and mostly succeed in his traps.

This puzzled me too as, although i haven't seen all the Saw Movies, remembered some thing against this:

  • John Slit David Tapp's Throat whilst they pursued him.
  • The Entity can simply manipulate and Force people into doing it's Bidding. It did this with Trapper. Someone that is more than capable to Survive and even took some Spiderish Creatures on.


The last thing was that it simply would be too "Disrespectful" to put him into the game for people of the Franchise.

Now whilst i respected their opinions, im still a bit confused.

Is it that huge of a Deal to (Even If that should ever happen.) add him as a Legendary Cosmetic?

    I'd rather have John Kramer voicelines for Jigsaw boxes whenever Survivors with a RBT on approach or interacts with them than i would have a Legendary outfit of John Kramer.

    Hoffman i guess would be fine as a Pig legendary outfit, although some Survivor legendary outfits for Tapp would be nice too.

    I think rather then the actual John Kramer you could have a human sized Billy The Puppet with Kramer's voicelines

    Honestly at this point making a new chapter for SAW would work better

    Lore-wise John Kramer makes a surprisingly incompatible killer for DBD... as John's whole mission is to test people, to give them a chance at redemption and to appreciate their blessings... NOT kill them.

    Amanda is a little more of a grey area, as she follows John's teachings, but ultimately is someone who is much easier led. I can imagine the entity successfully controlling/manipulating/influencing Amanda...

    But ofc... who cares, John being in the game would be sick 😁

    ...but tbh I'd be happy to see almost anything from SAW. 🤘😁🤘

    Hoffman would definitely be a cool skin. John Kramer doesn't really fit the killer role in the same way the other killers do. I guess the same argument could be made for the Spirit, Nurse and Wraith too. As far as I remember their lore doesn't paint them as evil.
