3K Hours Killer vs Survivors who is playing their first match
Now i am not playing Doctor so much. Actually i am soooo rarely touching him. I just played him for daily.
But what is that matchmaking? Even if i don't play this killer, i should not get new survivors in my lobby.
This matchmaking is not even funny anymore. It's just sad.

Raise you MMR for more fun.

My mmr is high on Nemmy, Sadako and Wesker. I am not planning to play Doctor more

Matchmaking probably prioritizes region over MMR

You should notice the missing skill of new players and act accordingly. We have a free weekend. So you might see more of that.
Maybe try to go a bit softer on them. It doesn´t need to be all about kills these days.

Yes MMR is borked but I've started to relish the challenge of the bad mismatches.
I'm begining to think the hand holding of modern games has given rise to a bunch of easily intimidated children.
Load up an old sega and try to survive the first levels of Zaxxon, by the fourth loop your skin is so thick it makes DBD's post game salt look like the bleating of an angry jelly bean.

And how exactly do you know how the match went? Looking at the score is not a good reason.

I mean it's pretty obvious when your matched with newer players almost immediately, from the way they run loops to not being able to find gens etc. Unless your new yourself or have zero game sense you know when your leagues above the team your facing.

I mean yeah I know that, but I’m trying to wonder why the OP needs to be told that.

There are 3 possibilities how something like this can happen.
Either they played in a SWF with someone who has way more experience, the previous killer dodged the lobby and you got auto filled or you are in low MMR.

Its not just for OP. Its a message to everyone. We have a free weekend right after a chapter with a big franchise. Lots of new players incoming. Veterans on both sides should hit the break for a few days and let new players fall in love with DbD.

I largely agree, but you have to at least have a chance of victory. I love Ping-Pong, but if you put me against an Olympic Athlete I'm not gunna have a good time. Single-player games are at least designed with that chance or path to victory that you can learn or overcome. A multiplayer game with a player with thousands of hours compared to "naw bro I don't need to play the tutorial, WASD moves right?" isn't going to make the person play again. If I keep playing that same single-player level, I can learn and beat it, but if I keep versing that same person with thousands of more hours than I, I'd probably only win if I got lucky.

"MMR"

I dunno why he said that. Your MMR varies between killers but only slightly. The devs don’t let each killer on a player’s system have a low to high individual MMR for obvious reasons.

Is this 'MMR' in the room with us now?

Yeah for sure. Like I said match making is borked. But if one or two bad games is enough to turn you off playing for good then maybe we need to go back to games being really hard by default so we can cull the weakness from the gaming population.
Turns out being able to mostly counter the process of natural selection hasn’t really made us stronger as a species. Modern games are a shadowy reflection of this fact.

Its supposed to work like that but i can tell you from personal experience that this isn't the case, something ain't working correctly. If i play Pinhead or Artist, i get the sweatiest SWF wannabe comp teams the game can throw at me. But if i go play a Killer i do not play that much like Deathslinger i get people apparently playing their first DBD match.

Which is why I think killers have to tunnel to 4K is fine, because if they can 8 hooks before kill and still able to 4K every match. It will be impossible for solo to 2 escape if killers decide to tunnel. And we see most people play only to win, no matter how game can be easier for killers, they would still tunnel.
Everyone knows op is survivors bias, but no mercy to newbie survivors.
I would just play around with survivors if I know theyre so bad.

Exactly. If i spot new players i try to 2 hook them (if all 4 are clearly new, i even attempt to hook everyone once before going for the second hook) and then let them go. No need to ruin their experience with a quick death.

good person here get them an award and a map just to memorialize them

Another fine example of the trash matchmaking system at work
