Anyone else feeling the new map "Nostromo Wreckage" is too big?
So i've been playing a couple of matches in the new map Nostromo Wreckage, and i've been feeling that this map is pretty big.
One of my matches, while playing with the Knight using Call to Arms (a patrol range addon) i could not reach a gen even using my 42m range.
Its like feels like its Mother's Dweling, but worse.
What you guys think?

i heard it's the 3rd biggest map but the tiles are pretty weak unlike other big maps.

It's a weird map the Nostromo itself has a few good pallets but isn't that strong otherwise and outside has many deadzones but there's lots of debris for killer powers to get stuck on, I think it's a pretty balanced map overall and one of the best they've made.

I heard that opinion before, but for me this map is pretty good with all aspects. It definately doesn't feel too big like Borgo, Mother Dwelling or Ormond. It is their best and most balanced map since reworked Eyrie imo.

Nostromo is pretty small.
Coal Tower for example is 132 sqT (Square Tiles)
Nostromo is 120 sqT.

Maps that are crammed full with line of sight breakers, can feel a lot bigger than they are. Line of sight breakers can greatly increase the time it takes to patrol generators, and the time it takes to find survivors.
Compare this to a map like Ormond, which is a main building surrounded by a ring of tiles, and everything else on the map is a dead zone . And Ormond isn’t crammed full of line of sight breakers, so it’s easy to see survivors that try to move from 1 tile to another tile. It doesn’t matter how much physical space the map has, because a lot of the space isn’t used .

I think it's fine. Probably the most balanced map they have released in years.

It's so weird seeing Ormond mentioned in the same breath as Mother's Dwelling when it's like, dead centre as far as map sizes go, it's really not that big at all.
To the main post, I'd say no, it feels like a pretty good size to me. I haven't had that many matches on it, but on both sides it feels like it isn't too cramped but it also hasn't taken three years to cross it, either.

I want the spaceship portion of it to be bigger since I love indoor locations more.

Yeah, Ormond is not as big as a MD or Borgo, but it feels like it. Ormond is one of the most popular offering in my matches, because survivors understand that this map hard to pressure due to gens spawn. I don't think Ormond need nerf or rework btw unlike Borgo, MD and Garden.
It's just feels big for me. When you are in the shack and you need to check the gen across the map, that's feel big as hell.

Dead Dawg Saloon, one of the smallest maps in the game, is 136 square tiles.
Nostromo is 120 square tiles

Big doesnt mean bad for killer
The tiles are not strong, the main building only has 1 decent loop and the map has a huge deadzone in the corner with nowhere to go but 1 direction

So if anyone says the map is big - it is smaller than Maps like Coal Tower, in fact, the third smallest Map (only Midwich and Lerys are smaller).

I don"t think it's big honestly, but the outside can feel pretty empty because the tiles are unsafe / weak

Yes it is. It’s like no. 3 behind Midwich and Lery’s IIRC. It’s smaller than coal tower too. And it has only one good loop, which you should find thrilling.

I've done my own testing... 24 seconds length wide nostromo 20 seconds width wise. Lets see dead dawg which is usually agreed upon is a small map... 20/20 both maps wall to wall on a 115 killer. Nostromo definitely is not the smallest map in the game. Or better yet in blight rushes i can cross dead dawg both sides in 3 rushes meanwhile nostromo requires 5 length and 4 width base kit.
But lets be real given that nostromo gen spread is basically on the walls of the map it more than makes up for its "small size".

And from my own tests i cross dead dawg faster than nostromo. So something aint adding up on the wiki. Given how on the wiki its under the same realm as borgo which it's not if it has an offering.

Brother just because you can cross the map a bit faster doesn't mean its smaller. If you actually look at the shape of the maps, the Saloon is more square shaped rather than rectangular which is why you can cross it faster.
Also the Shattered Square is apart of the Decimated Borgo realm. The Nostromo is apart of Dvarka Deepwood, which is the same realm as Toba Landing.

I mean even on the short way it still took the same amount of time as dead dawg. So by logic it is not smaller.

I mean it took me 20 seconds from wall to wall in both cardinal direction on dead dawg meanwhile on nostromo it was 20/24 so there's literally no denying that nostromo is bigger
