BIG survivor nerf incoming?

Hello i just read that BHVR is planning an anti-camping mechanic (what is good in my opinion). I play mainly killer so im not sure how big the problem with camping and tunneling is, but if I understand the survivors here correctly, its massiv.

Camping and tunneling are very strong tactics to ensure the win of the killer.

Lets say atm. (with camping and tunneling) the game is balanced and we have the kill/escape rate BHVR wants. When now a (maybe toxic) but very strong mechanic from killers is not possible anymore the Killrate from killers will drop.

To counter that and push the kill/escape rate on a lvl BHVR wants, all survivor might get nerfed or all killers buffed. What do you think will happen?

This, it actually has a higher chance of increasing the kill rate than reducing it. Tunneling is where the opness of killer lies, not in sitting next to the hook. Sitting next to the hook only tips your hand.

From what they said. If a killer camps you for most of the hook stage or all of it, not sure how long. They also need to be really close to the hook for the full duration. You can unhook yourself.

Once the patch release and people know it exists, the chances of you ever needing to do it will almost be zero. It's just an all around good change for the game.

I would also like to see players who are unhooked to lose collision, so killers can't body block them and survivors can't try to body block either.

That's true for killers, who camp everything with legs. But an experienced killer can identify situations and ways to make camping a very efficient strategy. GoJ for example is a horrible map but it does have some great camping spots.

It probably won't affect kill rates all that much but it will change the way killers play. When there are less ways for the killer to build pressure, then it's only natural that they focus more on those that are left. Meaning, you'll likely experience even more hard core tunneling.

I keep track of my game stats and don't see campers much at all. So I don't anticipate much of a change in kill rates. I don't expect to escape more as a survivor with the anti-camp change.

It's only face-camping that's being addressed, which is rarely ever a good idea except during endgame (which is not being changed). Proxy camping and tunneling are what's much stronger, and they're not being changed.

Not true at all. I win 90% + of my matches as killer and tunneling and camping always work.

I urge you to camp only on an M1 killer and do not tunnel. Tell me how many kills you get. You can tunnel without camping very easily. What you are probably talking about is proxy camping, which wouldn't be effected by the upcoming camping mechanic.

You can hover around the hook and come back, which is already the better play style. So the change will push killers to actually play better imo.
