I mean, you don't get the bubble up so it is not exactly that, but the screams sure help in that sense.

It's actually been complained about from streamers I've seen. Doesn't seem like it's gotten into the "this must be nerfed" movement like so many other perks.

By that point DMS will already have used a substantial amount of its duration. Unless someone on the survivor side got found pretty much instantly after the first one was hooked.
Quite a lot of circumstances need to be right for DMS to proc through Jolt.

Gen explosions cause screams. Pain Res does this as well (and is often paired with Dead Man's Switch because of this interaction) . Eruption (even the old version) did this as well. Why would Jolt be any different?
Only issue is that the description of Jolt does not mention the scream. But i think the perk itself is fine like this. It has counter play and is limited to M1 downs.

Jolt would probably even be fine if it was not m1 only, unless you are on a two floor map, but on those maps the perk can already be quite oppressive. However I see that more as a problem of poor map design than a bad perk design.

There are some things like that that have popped up at some point and then never left. Hooking events now proc earlier, which most notably affects Pain Resonance. Jolt causes screams that force survivors off gens. Blocked generators can be affected by generator explosions from Jolt, Eruption and Pain Res.
I don't think any of these things are particularly problematic gameplay-wise, but it is problematic that BHVR is either doing this unintentionally (and then not addressing it or even being oblivious to it), or at least undocumentedly.

i think Jolt kicking you off Gen or making you scream and giving the killer info is a bad thing. its already a common perk
There are many bad killer perks that can have this affect them instead

Jolt actually used to this on release. Then one patch is was removed and was never listed in the patch notes. The devs have never stated whether it's intended that jolt causes screams or not.
As far as I'm concerned, this was a fix to a long standing bug.

Just a bump up. i confirmed with some testing that Jolt makes you scream wether you are on gen or not as long as its an m1 hit.
I run it now everygame as killer. infectious is outdated unless u care about m2

Infectious is still great on Oni or Nurse, I would not necessarily call it outdated...

i know that now you will think im just a complainer. but isnt jolt having infectious freight 32 meters range for M1 down a bug and should be addressed ?

Does it give u a bubble up or only a scream? I think there are more important things to fix, the advantage is minimal...

It give you the bubble up. they scream and interrupt their actions and they dont have to be on generators for it o apply just within range. im kind of worried that this has been ignored this long

I use it on many killers and haven't really noticed a bubble up, but I also didn't focus on it so I don't know... I don't think it is problematic, the perk does not become brokenly strong because of it or anything so I'd rather have them fix more important things, but sure if they had unlimited resources they should either fix it or update the description

There is no bubble on the killers end. He has no idea where you are from your screams. Infectious works like Doctor static blast and Jolt does not.

Ah OK, like I said I didn't know, but haven't noticed a bubble ^^ I don't think just the scream gives you too much of an advantage though...

That's what I'm saying. This is one of those "complaining for the sake of complaining" threads that pop up everyday. Like the odds of Jolt activating DMS is incredibly low not to mention the survivors would have to be horribly bad meaning they would have lost to perk less Clown.

either we are playing 2 different games or i need to recheck. last i used it i saw people scream place as i hit the downed survivor. will check again hope you are right

i tried running jolt in Custom games against bots but for some reason they didnt scream ? i will report this issue in bug section and hope one of the community managers would forward it to the devs to be fixed later.
