Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Skull Merchant is not the worst designed Killer power ever

It's the second. The King of all goes to Original Legion. That was uncounterable. You would be downed no metter what you will do at some point. If you picked that one very rare add-on, it was chase done every single time in just few seconds. No counter play, doesn't metter if the Killer miss 50 times in Frenzy.

I remember well that people just rage quit as soon as they saw in the bar you had this add-on, they just left. I think people rage quit more againts old Legion than Skully.

At least with legion the game would end in under 5 minutes I’d rather face that then be trapped in 1 game for 55 minutes

Yeah, I'm with @Pulsar on this one.

I'd rather die in 2 minutes with no points than getting held hostage for 50+ minutes with 20k points.

In my honest opinion this is by far the worst killer they have designed so far. Her lore is convoluted with a bazillion little things that lead nowhere, her visual design is the laziest thing I've seen them do, her sound design is pathetic beyond reason, her animations are uninspired and flat out wrong (nobody walks like that!) and her power has no skill floor or skill ceiling and requires about as much brain power as breathing.

Her only redeeming quality is the different weapons and animations that she has with them. That's something I'd like to see for more killers.

As someone who used to main Legion back in the day, can confirm their power was unfair and terribly designed. However, I still think Skull Merchant is worse though because at least with old Legion the matches would end quickly. Skull Merchant just holds the game hostage.

SM can abuse already existing mechanics to a down right game breaking extent, but the knight is the worse designed killer in dbd history due to the mechanics he brings instead of the mechanics he can abuse.

You can literally see death in his eyes. And yet not as bad as SM

At least with old Legion my game would be over in a reasonable time. With SM I basically have to accept that I'm not breaking a 3 gen if they don't want me to and let them kill me or go through 15-30 minutes of torture minimum or until my teammates have already given up.

The thing with Legion was that their power was not at all like advertised. Everyone was expecting something like Knight, or some kind of disguising killer.

We got "hehe knife goes brrr"

Both are horrible mistakes in design but at least Legion doesn't actually allow you to go into a match with "I'm gonna make the server hand me the win after an hour" as your primary win condition and actually make that happen. If Legion came after you with either the frank's mixtape stab spam or the moonwalk you'd be dead in a relatively normal time.

Both are ridiculous mistakes and reward/rewarded braindead killer play, but at least with Legion the game would end. They were both really poorly thought out. It's like the devs never once actually played games with the powers in an optimal way during testing and design. Silly mistakes.

what. he was easier then SM. he ran at people, hit them and they went down. it worked exactly how cope shows it in the video. he wasn't about holding games hostage. he was about non-interactive anti-loop. they're different problems.
