Twins and Freddy by far. There are like 3 around the world.
Otherwise, maybe Hag, Trickster, Singularity. They are very rare to encounter but even rarer to see a main I feel.
Other killers without many mains I feel are Pyramid head and Skull merchant.
For a long time I also felt like I was pretty alone as a Pig main but recently I found many Boop enjoyers. So I'm glad.

This one is kind of a trick question. You'd think it'd be the low pickrate killers like Twins or Hag, but there's actually a good chance that they're P50+ if I actually run into one. I ran into a P100 Twins the other day. If someone is playing them, they probably hardcore main them.
I genuinely can't recall ever seeing a high prestige Freddy or Doc. Never seen it. I think a hardcore Freddy main is the rarest thing.

def freddy. even twins and sm have dedicated mains on yt and advocate for changes etc. yet freddy has nothing. i was thinking of doing a freddy main content creation but then sadako was released lol.

of course can't tell out of experience but the first killer came to my mind was also freddy. both the killer himself and his add ons aren't worth the investment.

I'd double up on this concept, even if I saw an absolute psycho running a P63 (or something like that) Freddy in the past week. He wasn't even particularly good, it just seemed like he was the Marge meme of "I just think he's neat". I think the highest Doc I've seen was a 1 in the tens column.

I am 50/50 killer/solo survivor. I main dredge, and in the last 6 Month i encountered 2 when playing survivor. So i would think dredge is pretty rare, together with freddy and hag.

I saw a P100-Clown a few days ago. Not the rarest Killer I go against, but certainly not something I would expect to see.

Well, she's kinda tricky to play ever since her phasing became directional.. So, most previously Spirit mains are either no longer Spirit mains, or are using her best add-ons as a way to compensate for the harsh balance adjustments she has received.
Personally speaking, I don't know my main. I have always had the best results with Anna as her hatchets were simply easy to hit, capitalizing on dead zones became easier than with any other killer, besides the current Xeno.. Playing with Sadako was a lot of fun aswell, especially while playing with perks to provide me literally constant aura readings. That makes the only played killers of mine Anna, Sadako, Albert, and Rin.. Yes, and the famous Xenomorph.
However, ever since I've moved in MMR and matches became sweatfests with at least double Toolboxes (Engineer's, Mechanic's, or Commodious), one or two Flashlights, or double MedKits, having them saving up about ~30 - 60 seconds of a time just because they're using those items. And there're also the sweaty add-ons, like Brand New Part, Gel Dressings, Styptic Agents, and Socket Swivels, also present every single match.
I'd love to say that I main Spirit even after all this time, as that's the killer whom I have used to main ever since her release, but after taking a break and kinda.. Struggling with her, I'm not sure if I still main her.
I guess, I do main Xeno for the time being.. Possibly Rin.
I will never stop being passionate about Rin's lore and her character design, though.. That truly makes me wanna play with her every single time I boot up the game, but I don't wish to play matches where I can't even get a single hook by the time they get three generators done, all thanks to the MFT's movement speed bonus.
And, as for the topic.. I'd say, Spirit is very rare to face.. You do never see players playing her, unless they're veterans with over ~2k hours just on Spirit, and so having even tripple the amount of hours on record at the very least.

Not including the most recent couple of killers, I'd say Freddy. Even the likes of Twins, Hag and Dredge I've seen have mains, but I've not even heard of any Freddy mains.
HermanTheDoctor is an awesome Doc main on Twitch who I strongly recommend, though he's the only doctor main I know of.

There's 30 Killers each with their own powers and playstyle... some times it's good to play multiple Killers and other times it's good to play one... but not for long

Yeah, it is definitely gonna be different.
As somebody who's half deaf and has just a cheap $20 headphones.. It's very tough, especially if they pair up Iron Will and Made For This.. Actually, even that isn't necessary, and I am somewhat forced to play with Stridor just because of the state of my ear.

Oh i thought you meant that singu has no depth lol. I imagine singu will have more mains than freddy since you don't really get anything out of really grinding out freddy. You can hit the freddy skill ceiling really really fast but singu has both a surprising high floor and ceiling

Nah, I meant Singularity is pretty rare. He does require more skill than Freddy (and a lot of other killers) IMO.

Yea singu is very rare, i would 100% say you'll will more freddys than singus but OP asked what is the rarest killer mained. Which due to the nature of the two characters i would bet that there are more actual singu mains than there are freddy mains

I've been maining Dredge for awhile now. And people always tell me they never see him hardly. Which shocks me honestly hes fun and strong imo.

Sadly I can count on one hand how many times I've gone up against pig. She is such a fun killer to play as and against and I love the way different pigs have different playstyles. I only just got her but P100 is my goal.

I honestly think it might be Freddy, for a few reasons. Gameplay wise, he's weak. His teleport is so specific and predictable that it lacks the surprise element of Demo, Dredge, Sadako, Xeno, etc. It's the only teleport in the game that alerts the survivors that he's coming. The snares are also a weaker, not on demand version of Doctor's shock. They're good for one hit and that's kind of it. To add insult to injury, he's the reboot Freddy, which is going to upset a decent number of people who might be drawn to him.
Singularity might be easier to counter, but he's still got things going for him. Good players can still use him for antiloop and surveillance, even if the survivors are EMP'ing every pod they find. Freddy doesn't seem to have much of anything going for him.
