Blindness obscuring hooks only hurts solo queue players.
I understand that blindness is a weak status effect for killers, but obscuring hooks only hurts solo queue players. Do we need to keep beating that dead horse?

I don´t see the issue. You get a huge bubble when someone is hooked. Takes just a couple of seconds of attention to pinpoint where the hook is.

The issue is it only hurts solo queue players. You play with your friends you can call out where you are, ergo negating the entire effect. If you go for an unhook and get chased or have to turn around its fairly easy to lose someone knowing they're only in THAT general direction before they go second stage.

Blindness itself is just a massive middle finger to solo players and needs an entire rework.

I would say that you’re overestimating the accuracy of the information SWF provides.
Not every SWF communicates in a clock system, by a long shot. The extent of it will be “im on front of main building” or “im in basement in shack” at best.
Besides, you can still see the hook itself happening. You need to be paying attention.

You assume that everyone plays a full swf squad? Because if its a 2 man squad or someone outside the group was hooked, they have to pay the same attention as a solo player. The bubble is hard to miss.
Blindness is already a weak status effect as you point out. But giving more hud information because swf might have a better way to deal with it is just wrong.
We already have a overload of survivor status effect signs. That all attempt to make up for the solo/swf difference.

"Oh no! X thing is bad for solo queue." Funny how one and the same argument is repeated again and again in every possible situation. You expect killers to deal with their issues too, don't you?
So how about instead of blaming everything on solo queue, we actually start using our brains at a 5% capacity while playing and use all the little tools in the game that already help to deal with this?

Feel better now?

Don't worry I'm equally as annoying 🫡

Blindness does what its meant to do, just because its hard countered by comms, like half the stuff in this game, doesn't mean its bad for solo queue.

I mean I'm all for blindness itself, Having a counter for windows is a necessary thing at the moment. Which I assume its mostly being used for. Its just frustrating losing someone because they're there but they're not there.
You're right though. I present the blindness rework:

Blindness is fine, if anything it needs buffed.

Just be lazy and make it a weaker Dredge Nightfall idk

That's actually a decent idea, somewhat. I like the idea of removing auras but honestly, after a few thousand hours it doesnt really do much. If instead of making survivors blind it highlighted the auras of survivors and made the map darker ala nightfall that could be an interesting way to go about it.
