Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Why does Situational Awareness show the generator's aura?

Also known as Better Together for you dbd veterans. Instead of showing the aura of the generator being repaired, why doesn't it just show the survivor, who is repairing the generator, their aura to all survivors?

It's so confusing with all these generator perks. It should give survivors a perk notification like We'll Make It after you unhook someone. If you want to keep the generator aura, make it a bit translucent and use a different color where you can see the survivor's aura repairing the generator.

Typically any perk that highlights a gen means the same thing... "Hey, you see this gen right here? Do this Gen."

For Survivors, they could make (whichever Gen the Survivor w BtTg is working on) the entire Gen red, similar to how Killers see hook aura’s when carrying a Survivor, and only while that Survivor is working on any Gen. When they leave any Gen, the “red gen” effect is removed.

or just add mini perk icons on the hud next to that player’s name

Apparently, using more than yellow and red for gen auras is reserved for special occasions, like the Halloween event where things are a shade of "kinda orange". Which is just a combo of yellow and red.

Oh how I wish the game engine wouldn't crumble under the weight of more color options.

Or they can change the color from yellow to light blue. This will help a lot

Personally, I like that it does that because it makes Trail of Torment better, which is an interesting Perk imo.
