Twitch Drops!
Hooray we have Twitch Drops! One issue...there's no way to connect your switch account to it? I know Boo I play on switch but I have a lot of my stuff on there and I'm waiting until crossplay is a thing, I love watching the twitch streams but there's no way to link your account on switch? could this not be done via Player ID?

Unfortunately, no.

What a load of garbage. I wish there was a foreword about this on the site before I wasted my time making an account.
Just another reason to stop giving BHVR my money.

I cant even "connect" on twitch to claim the rewards?
It redirects me to log in to some microsoft bhvr.com email.. so weird, and then errors to log in to my email

This is extremely saddening, this will be my third year playing on Switch waiting for Crossplay with almost 2k hours in game and I am being excluded from free to earn items all because of the console I play on :(

It's alright, glad you got them working though!! :)))

Yeah, this.
Not sure what's going on.
Anyone else had a work around for this?

Just log in to the BHVR website and it should show "claimed" then just log in in game

Still not showing as Claimed, but got them all in game!
Thanks dude!

Honestly, i don´t get the idea behind twitch drops. You get a skin if you "watch" instead of playing yourself.
Do people really watch twitch for several hours? Or are they only muting the channel and setting it to 160p while they play?

This sucks so much, feels like switch players are like a 2nd degree citizen to bhvr. "We don't want players to feel left out" what happened to that bhvr. No news on crossprogression either for like 3 years? I hope they give us atleast codes to redeem the outfits :(

Even better, I normally set it to watch right as I'm leaving to go do something, mute my speakers and just dip

They don't work on PC either.

Haven't been able to claim them yet.

Thank you very much.
The hatch looks nice. I'll combine it with the Christmas hatch xD

I think they can be earned over the next couple weeks. So as long as you watch 3 hours total over 2 weeks you can claim it. I had it running on my laptop earlier while I did housework.

Nah genuinely I happily play dbd almost daily and watch dbd official and others stream dbd on twitch yet others are getting free stuff for it and I'm not just BCs of what I play it on :/ idk feels kinda sucky after playing for three years just to be excluded

Welp the bloody charm still isn't showing up for me despite being displayed as 'claimed' on both the BHVR website and on Twitch. Albeit Twitch keeps showing me a 'connect' button to click which gives me that weird microsoft login screen someone else mentioned.

Yes, a lot of streamers have a community. Heck, that's how I first found out about Dead by Daylight, when one of the streamers I am a founder and moderator for started playing it on stream. Then she introduced me to other streamers, so yeah. I watch them a lot, also play with some of them during their streams.

But that just sounds like you started playing because your colleague (?) started playing.

I mean, sort of? I had never heard of the game before she started streaming it, and it looked like a lot of fun so I got it. But I also have played other games before I started watching anyone on Twitch, but I watch them too. Like right now as I am browsing these forums in my ADHD attention span making me do multiple things, I am watching a stream of someone playing a different game than DBD that I also play. I started watching those streams due to their Twitch Drops. Watched the main game channel that streams every day, and they have a schedule where their equivalent of Fog Whisperers actually stream on their channel. I found one particularly fun, so now I watch her more than the main channel (unless she's on it, which is two nights a week.)
So yea, I do both and a lot of players do, especially with Dead by Daylight. If you want, I can send you a DM of some of my favorite DBD streamers that either do open lobbies or are just fun to watch.

So its just mute it and do something else...

Mmhhh fair enough.
Yeah, you can drop a few names. Maybe i find someone new to occasionally watch.

Did they give any reason for why Switch players are being left out this time? Some kind of technical issue, maybe? They probably wouldn't tell us why, but thought I'd ask just in case they did.

Unfortunately not they just said it's not for switch in their tweet, I did email them and got this response which seems like they're not planning on changing it too soon unfortunately.
The "not possible" part is the only confusing bit since as far as I'm aware other games (Fortnite for example) have twitch drops that are available on switch.
I really wish you could just link your player ID to your BHVR account and then connect your BHVR account to your Twitch account, mine are already connected.
They accept player ID to solve things like missing items or cells so I'm unsure on why this would be very different but then again I'm not a game Dev so I wouldn't know.
Just such a shame to not have access to free items due to the console I choose to play on when I play almost every night and watch twitch streamers play dbd exclusively as I don't have much interest in many other games.

Same I made an account for nothing if I can't even collect the reward because it's like okay your reward is ready but it redirects me to sign in I try and it says sorry not a valid email even though I just did what it asked. It would be easy if it was just okay claim your reward you do so and they email the code to you.
When they did the cross-over with pubg it was at least easy make an account play for a bit and boom done reward. But I have to watch someone for up to 3 hours for something I can't claim
