We can see prestiges in the prematch lobby again...Intended? Thoughts?

True, I just realized it in my lobby...
I liked the change, would have kept it tbh.

I'm indifferent about it. I didn't care about prestige anyway and for me it didn't seem like too many killers were dodging lobbies.

Maybe they switched the players who could see prestige and those who couldn't and collect data on how much it inpacted the match making.

I could always see the prestiges in the lobby, it only applied for some people.
But i do hope in a future they are going to remove it.

If this means they're not going to go through with removing them in the lobby, I'm disappointed. It was a good step towards reducing lobby dodging and there's no valid reason prestige needs to be visible in the lobby anyway. Showing it in endgame chat was enough on its own.
We'll see what happens though.

We can finally see them again? Thank goodness. That test was annoying.

Displeased. I don't like seeing prestige in lobby when I'm playing survivor or killer:
- As a survivor, you get people dodging or targeting you specifically for high or low prestiges.
- As a killer, seeing a lobby full of high prestiges can be disconcerting. At least for me, seeing a bunch of P100s immediately knocks my confidence for the upcoming game. It's a little silly really -- considering I'm a P100 killer myself. But I don't know, it just throws me off.

I guess at this stage they'll look at their info and make a determination as to whether it's something they'll implement in a future update. They might be looking at if the people who had it hidden will now, that it's no longer hidden, start dodging.

I didn't notice but if that's the case I hope it's just until they make it an official change.
While it was gone I had less lobby dodging and obviously messed up matchmaking.

They don't matter though, that's the interesting part. My p100 Lisa can play just like my p10 Nancy. I am curious as to why people want to see them :) Sincerely asking.
I'd prefer them hidden, I often wait in lobbies for ten minutes, when people see my multiple p100s. I wish I was exaggerating. I just want to play my favorite character.
Sometimes it's so long I give up and just switch to a low level character.

Hopefully they implement it for everyone next.

Should hide prestige for everyone imo

Why is seeing them a bad thing?

Back to waiting in lobbies for 15 minutes...

So that's why my P100 Meg started getting tunneled and hit on hook for seemingly no reason! Didn't even notice they were back. It was good while it lasted.
A lot of killers would leave a lobby if they saw survivors with high prestige numbers which would increase waiting time. People will also tell you that it's the reason why SBMM sucks, but backlog isn't the issue. It's hockey based matchmaking.
Also, sometimes if you are playing a high prestige survivor, the killer will focus on you disproportionately.

Because it probably only caused killers to DC instead of lobby dodge. Whenever you faced a horrendous match, the final scoreboard with the prestiges told you the reason: bad matchmaking.
We have been told countless times that the bad matchmaking was caused by the lobby dodge, but even after hidding the prestiges to reduce it, the games are as miserable as ever.

pre-game lobbies need to go as a whole, here's my opinion on the matter.

Yea, I was never actually included in the tests, so I had no idea it had been restored. But could you please give them my feeback, that I believe it would be overall a more healthy game for the queue system as killers would not constantly lobby dodge those of high prestige, causing a backfill and trashing the entire MMR system? When I play with my streamer friend who is a P100 Nea (and does not have TTV in her name) we usually get at least one, usually 2-3 lobby dodging killers before one finally accepts every game we play together.
To be perfectly honest, while I do not because I do not want to be the cause of what I see as a major problem, I do get the temptation to lobby dodge when I see P100s and... it affects how I play the actual game in a negative way.

Because they only did the test for a sample size of players, lobby dodging was still very prevalent during the test. Anyone not included in the test could still see prestige and dodge the lobby.
Even if it were universal, there's still no protection for someone dodging because of 'a bad feeling' and dropping. This won't completely nuke lobby dodging by itself, and would require something like locking a player to a lobby, being much more strict with matching during a dodge (increasing queue times), or incurring some kind of penalty for dropping lobbies repeatedly.
But it's a pretty big step toward combatting players just shopping for 'easy games', and should absolutely go live even if they take no further steps in that process.
1 -
The people begging for prestige to stay in lobbies just want to lobby shop, remove them and keep it visible in endgame
2 -
Punishment for lobby dodging would probably nuke the remaining Killer Players willing to play the role. What BHVR needs to test is the killer knowing if they're going against a SWF or Solo and see if lobby dodging rises or falls.

I don't mind. No reason to have stereotype because of prestige numbers.
The only stereotype I have is anonoymous mode players because there are so many cheaters who hide within it.

I’ve been recording my dodge rates all day. I’ll post results here soon.

Went from the occasional lobby dodges with it off to just constant dodging today. One P100 survivor and I have to sit through 7-8 killers changing their mind. Really annopying since I can't dodge them if I don't like their stats.
