From leatherface basement to skull merchant

With the rework of the skull merchant, I have had 5 games where players take advantage of the positioning of drones on the stairs and entrances of the basements.

If a healthy player comes in to pick up, he is injured on the way up by the lasers and is knocked down by the killer.

If the unhooked person leaves, he is slowed down by all the lasers and can be caught again by the skull merchant. It doesn't matter if he was taken down by another survivor or by the new anti-camp system. The skull dealer will always be able to reach him by placing a drone at the entrance and above the stairs of the basement.

You can crouch walk through the things. Or just disarm them, there's no audible indicator that a drone has been disarmed.

there is anti-face camping measure but it doesn't work currently in basement. double floor basement are really strong in dbd for camping. the best you can do is hook-trade in those situations or let survivor go to second stage and try to save them in 30 seconds. if you have 0 lock-on stacks, there is 3 second immunity for each lock-on stack so you should be able to walk through all drones to hook-trade. basements like these is where decisive strike and off the record perk is good. If you don't have these perks than avoid getting hook in double basement or risk losing the match.

if anti-face camping ever get buffed to be anti-proxy camping mechanic where it has no decay in distance in 16 meters and you get like 20% haste then you will not need run decisive strike or off the record. that kinda deletes purpose of basement but dbd has not went that far to change that element of the game. so as it is now, basement is still relevant unless rules change.

This is not skull merchant problem, this is every killer being able to camp basement for wins.

They want survivors to fear the basement and we do. We all know it's a death trap. Basement camping is in sane killers should not be able to use their abilities or traps in the basement or the stairs M1 only. The basement is already a choke point there's no reason the killer should be able to make it impossible to enter or escape beyond basic M1 and the camping they already do.
