It feels like everyone is more happy to MFT getting nerfed then OG Dead Hard

I’ll admit, I used MFT when it was new and kinda liked the perk, but I stopped using the perk for 2 months now cuz I knew it was gonna get nerfed anyway and I was tired of rocking the same build every game, it gets really stale at some point.

But yeah, I see everyone being really happy about MFT getting nerfed next update. Personally, i don’t even care about it cuz I don’t use it anymore. But are you guys more happy about MFT getting nerfed or when OG Dead Hard was nerfed in 6.1?

I play NA East and share a similar experience. Ofc as of now I'd guess it will see more usage since we have more definitive details on its change; as it tends to be the trend with perks like this.

    Definitely Dead Hard getting nerfed.

MFT never really bothered that me that much at all, i also did not use it. But that's probably because i am not good enough to get use out of it. I'm glad it got nerfed though especially because of the mft hope combo.

To be honest, I still feel the euphoria when I think back to DH getting nerfed. 3 times. It's a bit mind boggling that they nerfed it 3 times and it remains a very decent perk, while they managed to make CoB useless with only one nerf.

MFT is ridiculous but it's less bs than DH was. It's not quite the same as "press E for distance and counter every killer's best mind games". It amazes me how some people tried to defend that. MFT is more of a constant drag.

idk i can't really compare. even though i thought 6.1.0 dh was not broken broken, not having to do the "bait dance" for 5 seconds before every down anymore was such a relief.

edit: oh og dead hard. honestly i can't remember how i felt, been a bit.

  • DH is a perk that is used quite frequently even now, so MFT will probably be brought in as well. You will need to consider the combination of perks more carefully than you do now, so you won't be able to benefit from using them casually.

DH was a menace and made the avg survivor look like they were a pro. I used BL for my Nea back then (I blame No0b3 for Nea floods back then lol), so I rarely did much with it, but when I used other Survivors with specific builds I used it was dumb dumb. DH nerf had players singing kumbaya.

I'm on a similar level happy. Both where really unhealthy for the game. Both got the nerf they deserved.

Hopefully we will now have peace.

Cause MFT is quite literally the same amount of free value possibly even more so than old DH for distance.

Definitely original Dead Hard. But I’m very happy MFT is getting nerfed too.

MfT now works with DH. It doesn´t deactivate when exhausted. Which opens a lot of possibilities to mix it with exhaustion perks + endurance perks.

Hell, it might even be stronger than the current version because of that.

I m very happy with this. More happy than the nerf to dh. Resonsons for this are:

    1. Dh was one time use Mft if 50% of the chase.

    2. Dh nerf wasnt that big its still a very strong Perk.

    3. Dh was good against every Killer and mft only punishes M1 Killers.

Since release of mft I have barly played M1 Killers, because it feals so trashy to play against it. Im happy I can play Trapper, Pig and Freddy again. Yeah i know Freddy is borring, but I havent played him for so long now.

The DH nerf literally transformed the game removing a third healthstate and made killrates absolutely skyrocket. MTF was the [most recent thing] but its impact can't even begin to be compared to old DH.

Its nothing but more goal post moving by a certain demographic who get what they want with hysterics, hyperbole and gas lighting.

Give it a few days and they will find another perk for BHVR to nerf into oblivion.

MFT should've never been in the game to begin with!

Man that's sad. I liked this Perk, even though I still think the best exhaustion perks are way better than it.

MFT is now as useless as Spine Chill to me. I never had a problem with it, but I guess plenty of Killers will be glad to see it join the other 100 or so Survivor perks that nobody uses.

Its not useless. Just run it together with another exhaustion perk. You don´t have to choose between MfT and SB/Lithe. You can take both now.

I said it was useless to me. The only time I'm likely to be in deep wound is if I'm playing a Legion or the Killer is actively tunnelling / chasing me off hook. And if this is happening, I'm dead anyways and would rather go next. So yeah, an utterly useless perk for me now. Could be good in a tunnelling build I guess, but otherwise I will probably not use it again.

Besides, if I'm having to use a full tunnelling build because the MMR is putting me against hardcore tunnelling Killers that probably win all their games, then I'm not having a good time, matchmaking is broken and I'd rather just stop playing.

I understand. Well, maybe the devs release a new enduring perk with a future update. That could make it more useful for a more casual playstyle. But honestly, the way you describe it, you probably don´t get the most out of the current MfT anyway.

For example, i prefer to run SB over MfT. Because killers often break a chase, when i burst away. So i got more use out of SB than MfT.

Whats really annoying for killers, is the enduring effect after picking someone up. Something that wasn´t changed and will still annoy killers.

I did get some value out of it. I could risk staying injured more often to get Resilience value, then run early if the Killer came by. But obviously, that won't be a viable strat any longer with the changes.

Personally, I think a decent perk should be viable at all MMRs. Now it will be a perk that only the most skilled Survivors will be able to get any value from. Possibly even more value, now that it can be used alongside the exhaustion perks. Be careful what you wish for, I guess.

Fair, but it at least takes up half of your perk slots to utilize it.

Old dh getting nerfed saved me from quitting this game.

happy and confuse at the same time , this technically still makes killers than inflict deep wound like legion and slinger weaker against the perk so idk how i feel about that ; also with this changes they are promoting the hit and run playstyle which isnt fun for those killers neither the survivors.

also they just made "hope+ mft + sprint burst" now the most powerful combo when running a medkit - styptic.

Well at least they didn't take like 4 years to nerf it this time... Still, really annoying how perks like that get past design.

Inb4 the next chapter released has an unbearably strong perk released on it to make up for MfT... sigh

The Relief from Dead hard was more palpable due to how long it remained oppressive, and the fact you had to completely alter your playstyle on the assumption a survivor had it (Like OG DS.) MFT is more of just a passive OP annoyance that just means you are SOL if you are a slow killer.

DH sucked the joy out of the game for years; MFT sucked the joy out of the game for 6 month, there was not enough time to do the same kind of damage, though the emotional scars feel kinda similar. But yeah, I feel quite elated and the game will fill much fairer and less of a torturous ring around the rosy around every. single. junkpile.

Without question. OG DH was the most busted thing I've personally seen in DBD, by far.

the problem is that MFT perk is slam dunk nerf. this perk that is now among #2 perk in the game is going to be bottom tier perk because it went from one of most consistent perks in the game to one of least consistent perks in the game.

From what I remember with my chat with @Blueberry there was request to weakened the perk, not delete the perk entirely. with their proposed change, they're deleting the perk entirely. from my perspective i don't see myself using new version of that perk whatsoever.

Old DH was so horrible that I became a Bubba main because no injured state meant no DH, and people still healed against Bubba.

Took a break, came back, watched some streamers, and never ran it because I knew from what they were all saying it was going to be nerfed. Probs not a good perk to rely on anyway in case you get too use to it after a long break. That said I think old DH & DS were way more hated.
