Survivors got nothing this chapter, what Equal Attention Buff would you like to see?
Personally, if I had the choice I'd buff No Mither so it had 100% noise reduction so that I wouldn't need to pair it with Iron Will every game.
What small buffs would y'all have like to received this chapter?

Revert the stun duration nerf of DS. Also remove the skill check, it serves absolutely zero purpose.
50 -
Give back some of the survivor perks that they nerfed to no avail since they keep buffing everything for the killers!
20 -
There would not be an "Equal Attention Buff" or anything (even if I would totally be in favor to buff DS back to 5 seconds).
But this Chapter will not feature anything for Survivors, except for Nerfs. And there are a lot of really terrible Survivor-Perks which could have received changes (on both sides, but Killers get a completely new Character, 3 new Perks, Map Nerfs, MfT-Nerf and a Trickster-Buff). So they could have looked into some of them and buff a handful of Perks.
(Granted, the Midchapter in January will be Survivor-only, so I expect the Devs to do something for Killers as well)
12 -
Self-Care.
But I don't think every patch can contain buffing both sides.
There's gonna be still new chapter content so hopefully more will be in next survivor only chapter.
I wish new patch included either Blight add-on changes or Pinhead's Original Pain add-on change.
4 -
Buff decisive strike back to 5 seconds
13 -
More us vs them mentality that leads to more toxicity.
20 -
This.
If every change on one side came with an equal and opposite change for the other role, no issues would ever be addressed.
Not to mention that the idea of “survivors got nothing” this patch is just untrue. Decluttering Garden of Joy and Red Forest is immensely helpful for newer survivors as it allows them to find loops without having to know the maps off by heart.
Sure, survivors received less this update — but that doesn’t mean the developers have some bias against the role (like a lot of this forum seems to believe).

This thread is a fun thread for people to post buffs they'd like to see in it in spite of getting an upcoming update with all nerfs for them. If you're so turned off by it, you're welcome to not engage and find a better use of your time than being spiteful for no real reason. Take a walk, pet your dog. There's other things in the world to spend your time on. ❤️

I´d like No Mither to have a bloodpoint bonus. Kinda like the meme addons for killers, that disable their power, but give 100% bonus bloodpoints.
Oh and MfT wasn´t nerfed.
5 -
It's sad they're butchering all the maps one by one and survivors are quiet for some reason, I want to see it reversed for maps like midwich/dead dawg, just for the lulz to see killers reaction, increase size and more safe pallets
8 -
5s ds and self care back to 50% but reduce Botany back to 35%
To prevent healing metta
But honestly these are kinda just optional not necessary

This thread is a fun thread
Maybe so, but titles like “survivors got nothing” etc. are inherently inflammatory given the nature of the DbD community.
In my opinion you could just have “What survivor buffs would you like to see?” and keep the same meaning of your thread without the connotations that survivors are being neglected in favour of killers.
On its own, there’s nothing wrong with it. But in the broader context of DbD’s never-ending survivors V killers wars, it can sound a little inciting IMO.

Buff Calm Spirit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Or, ya know, just reverse the asinine nerf)
11 -
I’d take a perk buff somewhere. For the current meta of how games play, 5 second DS would be the most obvious.
Tbh what I really want is a rework of STBFL. Its plot armor is as strong as Blight these days.
5 -
To be fair, saving DS for later used to be a reasonable proposition when it still worked in endgame.
In general I'd agree with DS back to 5s and Self-Care up to 45% (just enough to be better altruistic heal without perks or items), but I don't think it should be a Feng styled equal attention skin or Killer/Survivor equal attention patch. Those buffs stand on their own merits.
1 -
DS back to 5 second stun
3 -
i think it needs to stay to give a choice to use it or not. but i'm bad enough to miss oc and ds skill checks so i also would love the ds skill check gets bigger.
2 -
Because Stbfl is mostly a healthy perk?
1 -
I think it’s better if they just increase the skill check size
and bring back the 5 second stun
1 -
Ok... so just give it time... They can't just make changes for the sake of making changes (cause one side V other side)
They have to make changes that will impact the game (however it happens)
Also they have to be more diligent about what changes they make... Just see all of the other forum topics
Even though we need more patches like 6.1.0 this is what we get after those
1 -
I think taking away the skill check for DS is good. Also it may be controversial but I think DH should activate automatically. But then again that would take the choice of when to use it away from the Survivor so I’m not sure about that one.

As a partially sighted player, I absolutely loath every perk that alters sound. I need sound, the chase music already being as loud as it is makes it hard enough.
1 -
Skill check still serves a purpose, somewhat, in that it limits when DS can be used. Just so that you can't trigger it when the killer reaches a hook.
Though it can easily be made to trigger automatically immediately on pick-up, that'd be fine too.
But yeah, stun duration back to 5 seconds, absolute must.
4 -
How?
2 -
Stealing other peoples' idea I've seen and making DS stun 4 seconds and making it disable the killer's power for ~10 seconds. Also skill check either removed or made bigger. I wouldn't mind seeing a range increase to Reassurance as well.
6 -
DS going back to a 5s stun, or at least have the timer pause when your being chased.
also let skill checks not instantly explode the moment we let go, that’d be nice. it really be nice because if we have to get off a gen because of the killer coming, a skill check can’t just appear and destroy 10% of your progress, you’d have to actually finish the skill check
3 -
Increase the duration of Decisive Strike's stun from ~3 to ~5 seconds, and make it work even after having all of the generators completed;
Decrease the duration of Off The Record to ~30 seconds, but make it work even after having all of the generators completed;
Increase the regression effect of Hex: Ruin from the current ~100% to ~200%;
Remove the penalty while cleansing or blessing a totem while using Calm Spirit, as well as removing the penalty of opening the chest while keeping the silent opening;
Make Mettle of Man token based, gaining each token for a protection hit, unsafe unhook, or reviving survivors from the dying state;
Decrease the duration of Deadlock from ~30 seconds to ~20 seconds;
.. And that's probably all for the time being..
3 -
The perk is extremely situational now. It not garbage but no one will use it after this.
3 -
oh reassurance range buff would be so nice. preferably enough range to use it from above basement.
****basement should be removed****
4 -
I'd prefer that if they were to buff it, they just give the survivor with ds a free sprint burst but keep the 3 second stun. Less time the killer can't do anything but the survivor gets distance after being tunnelled.
1 -
It's not inciteful at all. Only a small few, including yourself, took it that way. Best to move on if you're offended by it.
This would be an awesome revert. Would calm some "I'm constantly getting tunneled", just bring DS with you so you have a chance.
4 -
It's not inciteful at all
Phrases like "survivors got nothing", "killers got nothing" (and other rhetorics repeated ad nauseum every update) come with inherent charge in DbD spaces. The implication of them is that one role is/was neglected in favour of the other.
As I explained, in a vacuum, there's nothing intrinsically wrong with saying that "survivors got nothing". Technically, it's true that they didn't receive any direct addresses in the developer update. However, it's no secret that this community has a big problem with division.
Case and point, the reception to the MFT changes on social media:
Of course, the perk isn't being nerfed because it's unhealthy -- it's being nerfed because killer mains are the root of all evil, have too much influence, and survivors get no say. /s /lh
This is why I don't think this kind of phrasing is helpful. It draws a line in the sand with survivors on one side and killers on the other. It might seem trivial, but the way we talk about things matters. What we say, hear, and read has big impacts on how we perceive things. Yes, one thread is insignificant in the grand scheme of things, but as a collective, all of the divisive thread titles, social media comments, content creator videos, etc. add up to create unnecessary tension between the two roles.
I don't have any issue with the concept of the thread, nor am I "offended" by it, I just think the way we word things is important.

Unnerf pharmacy & calm spirit. They got small buffs but then they tacked on a nerf so effectively killed them anyway.
Also Iron Will being 100% again would be cool, but I understand why some people don't want that.
2 -
I agree with the first part.
But basement is here to stay and that's good. If survivors go down around certain areas, then it should be more risky. It's the one redeeming quality of shack and one of the few effective tools against bully squads.

Is it still a tiny "great" skill check?

Stripping away all of the nuance of what I just said. How very insightful.
Survivors didn’t get anything *direct* in the developer update. That doesn’t mean some of the changes aren’t beneficial for them. I already mentioned that map decluttering is a pretty big deal for inexperienced survivors.
Saying this kind of thing is needlessly reductive and divisive.
5 -
This change, as well as many other things lately, suffers from a perception problem as much as anything else.
You can say that the change was made because the perk was problematic, and at least in this case with MfT BHVR took the time and looked into data instead of just 'taking in feedback'.
But you have to admit that, regardless if it's 100% true, the community *believes* that screaming at the devs early, loudly, and as often as possible is *perceived* to be the best, most effective way to change the game.
And after seeing so many changes in the past year that all seem to be targeted 'by request' it's hard not to think that all that clamoring is actually having a significant impact as well.
It doesn't help that MfT had at least two forums posts to the effect of 'be thinking of which survivor perk should be targeted next' days before the PTB was even available to be tested. There is absolutely 'narratives' that get pushed regularly here, and are often pushed regularly, even if those don't match the data or other player's experiences. (There are already people claiming this change is a buff in several threads across the forums, for example).
I can't honestly believe anyone thinks this nerf will 'solve' the problem. It'll just mean the next 'big issue' is Sprint burst, lithe, or whatever the next chase perk is that comes out...
And the cycle continues with a freshly moved goal post.

like it or not these comments gets so many likes because it's the truth, simple as that, it's not hard to do more balanced updates with buffs/nerfs for both sides...
can't even adjust ultimate weapon/skull merchant after last awful updates, that would be the minimum, just lame

I mean, that IS the joke.
I also just find it funny you come in this thread, that has been peaceful and pretty tongue in cheek from the beginning, and start posting how "divisive" and "inflammatory" it is when I haven't seen you comment similar things on the threads like "Killer Mains, Are We Having Fun Yet???".
Especially when the only evidence you bring is from Twitter of all places. Twitter is a wretched hive of scum and villainy, of course you can find terrible takes there.

Nuke Pop + Pain Res
Individually they are annoying, but somewhat balanced.
Together they turn every game into a tedious slog.
I don't want to repair 7-8 gens every game any more and I don't understand why the forum isn't filled with people complaining about this.
2 -
I'd love to see more help for solo survivors. The best they could do at this point would be that survivors in the lobby could vote to stay together after the match ... and after two or three games together can exchange contact details (Discord) if they still want to play together. (I don't have chat since I am on PlayStation so I can't get in touch with others that way).
3 -
I just want female vaulting fixed
12 -
To be fair, survivors have been the more powerful role as of late.
As much as I understand your frustration, I don't think the problem lies with either perk. Mathematically, you outpace both perks if the person holding chase can hold it for a very meager amount of time. The problem is when you have teammates feeding hooks.
1 -
Prove Thyself back to 15%
2 -
Because it's not still busted at 10%, right.
2 -
Apparently it's a penalty perk from what I'm hearing now and always has been.
1 -
I'd just like to see balance instead of make something extremely OP or make something useless.
It's getting old. I'm not spending money anymore on that stuff.
3 -
10s of endurance after a heal AND 3% infinite haste while being in Deep Wound isn't balanced for you?
lmao, survivor mains when one perk doesn't let them run killer for 5 gens, do the 5 gens at the same time, open the exit gate in 2 seconds, take 6 hits, pick up every slug on the map instantly, and BM the killer.
6 -
It counters a penalty, but that penalty exists for a reason. The "nerf" barely made a dent in that penalty, and the fact it's still extremely common shows that people weren't "just running it for the BP bonus".
