Trickster buffs question.
New patch. Quite a lot of buffs for trickster.
Correct me if im wrong. Now can trickster trigger "Main event" (6 knifes) before even damage a survivor (now 8 knifes)??
Or its a typo and means 6 less knifes?

No its correct, 6 blades to charge, less with add-ons, i believe it could turn really bad cause there won't be stopping him from tunneling since he will easily eat through any healthstates of anyone trying to stop him and keep up more easily with 115%. We will have to see.
I will definitely camp and tunnel a few games with the Waiting for you Watch and Fizz Spin Soda/Tequila Moonrock combination just to see how bad it is.

I know, it's such a crazy change that people are thinking it's a typo. I don't think it's a typo the way it was presented. They really said let's make an annoying killer more annoying.

Its almost like PTB exists for a reason and to test these changes before they go live.

Yeah there's no way those Trickster buffs make it to live as they are. For one, he should never be a 4.6, and two, the Main Event buffs are straight up dumb. I'd understand cutting down the blade charge to like 15-20, but 6 is beyond stupid. This will turn him into the strongest camper in the game.

Reading the trickster changes I felt the need to reread several times. Tbh, half the changes I don't even get the reasoning behind. Like, what kind of scenario do devs have in mind where this leads to enjoyable gameplay?
I mean yes, PTB exists for a reason - but with such a range of changes it's gonna be impossible to separate the variables later. What people gonna complain about are the obvious things- but usually ptb isn't nearly enough time to see hidden synergies, where a seemingly minor change has a huge secondary impact.

Exactly, i will camp and tunnel with it on the PTB to see how bad it is. If only PTB stood for public test build...

At this point why don't they just give him endless knives, no cool down and basekit UW?
Like I said, I have no problem kiting him but this stuff just makes me wonder what goes on during their meetings and how they test the game.

My point was, no need to complain about something you haven't even tested yet. Its rare for things to go on PTB and not get changed.

I don't think it's as powerfull as it reads. There are more reasons why Main event was barelly used outside of hardly ever being available.
It still slows you down massivelly. Hitting 6 knives on a healthy survivor and then activating main event will i assume more often then not end in you injuring the survivor and the survivor darting off with on hit speed boost while you are slowed and about to eat a stun.
Can't know for sure without playing ofcourse but it seems to me to be more powerfull on paper then it would in practice
