No news on seeing prestige levels in lobbies?
I know the devs said they were testing it but is there anything new on that? I’d be overjoyed to take away the ability to see prestige levels in lobby now so we can reduce lobby dodging and being targeted for playing our favorite characters. There’s literally no value in seeing prestige levels in lobbies.
Devs? You guys did this player card stuff. Why not throw that in with it?

I'll silently hope player cards nuke both prestige and profile access from orbit for good from the pre-game lobby, guess I'll find out if I'm being overly optimistic or not with time.
4 -
Yeah, what's up with prestige? Hide it please 🙏
11 -
While I agree visible prestige shouldn't be a thing (pre game)
Personally i'd remove the entire pre game lobby & fix lobby dodging in one fell swoop.
Survivors also drop out for silly reasons not just killers with the lobby removed maybe then mmr would have a chance to sink or swim or at least give the devs a better idea on how its working & improve performance.
Even with no prestige lobbies are dodged gor cosmetics, items, charcters, player names, list goes on & on.
Sure they'll be an initial rise in dc's or players giving up but they wanna eat the ban thats on them let the rest of us have at least a chance of a more reasonable game

That would also eliminate that last second swapping bs survs can do as well. I do wish they'd test this, whether they do anything with prestiges or not.

You are pretending to make the lobby dodging a real problem and it isn't.
I don't have high prestige survivor (my survivor with the highest prestige is Feng Min at prestige 27) but I get paired with prestige 60-100 quite frequently and also I watch streamers who have prestige 100 survivors and the lobby dodge by the killers is not that frequent to be considered a real problem, some people even exaggerate to the point of saying they have to wait 15 minutes to start a match due the lobby dodging lol.
1 -
How can you tell somebody who has a P100 character that they're "pretending lobby dodging is a problem" when you don't even have a P100 yourself? What's your source? The streamer you watch for a couple of minutes or the other P100s you might come across once in a while? That's funny. If you've had a P100 of your own the entirety of your playtime maybe you could have a first-hand experience about if it's a problem or not but you don't even have the validity to make this judgement.
11 -
Oh wow... this might get good quick lol.
Ive a p100 Feng and I get very little dodges. I suspect its due to my name, and killers interact with it often! But I do get some killer dodges now and then. Not a 'problem', and I want a killer who thinks they can hang. If they wanna dodge because a p100 is there, they are severely mistaken about my skill. I am NOT that good lol.
p100 is just 'I can click bloodwebz bunches hurrr'
1 -
I don't need a P100 and first hand experiencie because I get paired frequently with them and I watch the streamers more than two minutes. All of this is perfectly valid to make a judgement.
1 -
This'll be a no from me. As a killer I base my perks on what I see in the lobby. You have 16 perks amongst you all while I have 4. Don't take away my ability to plan accordingly.
1 -
I think is going to be added to the banner thing. We will see if they do!

If people made it to p100 and it gets taken away, there will be a wave of rage unseen, even by the dead hard haters.
0 -
They removed ranks because they said it was unhealthy for the game, and then added prestige into the lobby.
Hopefully seeing prestige and having access to Steam profiles gets removed entirely. There is absolutely zero reason either should be in the pre game.
9 -
Should make it an option. I don’t have any issues with lobby dodging for being a p100. If you want to hide yours, should be your choice, not everybody else’s.
2 -
dc will rise with killer survivors just need to kill them self on hook by pass the ban all together, sooo maybe not great idea.
we run out of killers fast.
1 -
I don't even get dodged that much.
1 -
Whilst the testing is finished, the analysis of the data and the feedback is ongoing. When a decision is finalised we will definitely let you know.
14 -
Is there reason to remove accessibility to the profiles?
0 -
I don't like answering questions with a question, but what purpose does having it serve?
Other than opening the door for harassment, I see no good in allowing people access to your profile.
2 -
Thank you. For my personal feedback, I don’t see how seeing prestige in lobby is healthy for the game. Either it leads to lobby dodging which I get frequently when I play my P100 character or I get targeted by the killer for my P100 character. I’ve had killers tell me in end game chat that they “just wanted to see if I could get the P100” or name call me and say things like “Oh big P100 died first! You suck!”
Basically the only thing prestige does is allow for peoples prejudgments and discriminations to take over and affect how they go into the game. There's no inherent value to it and adds to toxic behavior and lobby dodging
6 -
Here's my feedback: Hide prestige for everyone, it's only used to harass and lobby dodge high prestige survivors
6 -
wrong its a problem and happens to me all the time.

Note that it isn't primarily an issue of p100 survivors - it's an issue for everyone. It's been confirmed that once someone leaves a lobby, the system backfills it with random players in the queue.
Hiding prestige before the trial would result in better matchmaking accuracy.
5 -
As I said. I don’t get dodged for being p100. Neither do any of my SWF mates. Not an issue for us.
0 -
this but also,
anyone who denies that lobby dodging is a problem, is a most likely a lobby dodger themselves and that is why they try to downplay it happening as well as try to push it as an option when that will not fix the problem.
3 -
Maybe because you don't want to play with the users who have VAC ban record...? And if I remember correct, making your profile private would help you dealing with trash comments.
1 -
Why do you assume people dodge lobbies because of prestige ? being p100 doesn't mean you're good at the game lol
0 -
Overruled
1 -
Not entirely sure that's how it works....
Either way, probably be nice to not see anything until the end, least for our opinion.
0 -
hide or not I don't care but lobby dodging is most likely here to stay, also killers don't just dodge because there p100 in lobby it could be many reason.
here a fact some killers will see something they not going want to deal with.
0 -
Im glad we can see prestiges again most who have higher prestige want to show it.
2 -
No thanks. And if that's the case then at least give us the option to hide our prestige.
1 -
Hear me out. Something not being an issue for you personally does not mean it’s not an issue game wide. Maybe it’s not all about you, especially if others have been reporting something as an issue as well.
6 -
Again, I’ve been told countless times that that’s why I get dodged. All you have to do is ask here and on steam forums. Look at the forums and Twitter and reddit. People are very open about dodging P100 lobbies. I have friends I play with where we all have P100 characters and we’ve gotten dodged up to 6 times per match trying to find a killer. Also I’m more than aware that prestige does not equal skill but trying telling other players that. Lmao I’ve had killer mains tell me they assume someone who is P100 has put a lot of time into the game and therefore they’re better players and they will either dodge them or target them to get the “best player” out of the match quickly. Meanwhile I’m here with my P100 and can’t loop for crap. 🤣🤣🤣
There is a lot of evidence out there that higher prestige characters get dodged or targeted because people assume prestige is tied to skill level.

i'd love if pre-game lobbies are removed as a whole. i can't think of any purpose they serve other than enabling dodging teammates/opposing survivors.
3 -
I would really like to know what the devs' reasons are that they want prestige shown in lobby so badly that it needs data analysis to make a decision to remove it. It is not meant to be a measure of skill yet its presence suggests that it is information given to the other players to make a decision whether to shop another lobby, or in the case of the killer whether to run a sweaty or chill build. So what's the value of showing it?
Lobbies have been extremely stressful the last few days. I am one of the people who lobby dodge if I see P0 survivors in base outfit in the lobby as my teammates because I don't want to play with newbies and the game fairly often matches me with people having 16-50 hours in the game, probably because I lose 90+% of my matches because I only play solo.
Unfortunately, a lot of people hide their prestige exactly by appearing as some P0 character in default clothes and last-second switch to their favorite high prestige character.
Now the problem for me is that I never know whether I should leave the lobby or if they'll last-second switch. Happened frequently that I leave the lobby exactly in the moment they switch characters but then it's too late and I need to search another lobby and they need to wait for another player to be put into the lobby and the timer restarts at 60 seconds ...
1 -
Dude…. Almost like I said MAKE. IT. AN. OPTION.
You have an issue with it? Hide your prestige.
You don’t? Show your prestige.
In what way is suggesting this “making it all about me.”
0 -
My comment was in relation to you saying this “As I said. I don’t get dodged for being p100. Neither do any of my SWF mates. Not an issue for us.”
again it’s not an issue for you or your SWF great but this playerbase is way bigger than you and 3 other people. And tons of people have regardless said this is an issue that they’ve experienced for months.
My issue is not with your suggestion on how to fix it. My issue is with your implication that because you don’t experience it that’s it not a problem. Have a good one.
4 -
Making it a choice for everyone is solid.
But
If it backlogs random's to fill lobbies, matchmaking is borked in those instances. (Not that it works anyway)
I dunno, there doesn't seem to be a solid fix for this. But for the sake of people feeling in control still, I think the option would be a better move. It would be better than just perma-showing or perma-removing imo.

Fwiw my vote is for no prestiges in lobby. Seeing them in post-game works fine 👍
2 -
Does the team believe they have a big enough slice of the playerbase to make this decision? Has a larger sample size test been considered?
0 -
That is affirming WHY it should be a choice. Again, in no way was I implying it’s not an issue for other people. I first said “it should be each individual’s choice” followed by “me and my people do not experience dodging.”
In what way did I say “other people are not experiencing it”.

Please, if your final intention is to hide the prestige make it an option, not a forced thing (like the streamer mode for hiding nicknames and profiles). I want to continue flexing my well gained prestiges since the lobby itself.
1 -
But I'd miss Seeing Jonesy the cat... :(
I do hope they decide to hide prestige levels. I think it should improve the matchmaking overall, but since they have the data and that's better than my gut feelings, I guess we'll see.
1 -
I would disagree to the idea of removing pre-game lobbies, because I think killers should be able to see what items are survivors holding. Killers should have chance to think whether they should bring lightborn/Franklin's demise or not.
1 -
i mean, survivors don't have a chance to switch out of their healing builds after they see they are about to face a plague, right? that's another topic whether killers seeing survivors while survivors not doing so is fair or not but that luxury would be worth the sacrifice imo. full flashlight/toolbox lobbies, entire lobby with cosmetics, someone with legacy, names/game hours they can all cause lobby dodging.
3 -
Not sure why lobbies with full cosmetics can be the reason for the lobby dodgings, but I understand what you are talking about. I think it is the difference of the sentiment. Lobby dodging was never an issue in my country.
0 -
I believe MMR and region play a huge factor in the varying amounts of lobby dodged experienced.
1 -
apparently it's the biggest reason for awful matchmaking, which is obvious in my matches personally.
0 -
maybe seeing the p level after a match but i agree, lobby dodging is a big issue with a bunch of my soloQ games ((im p 20 < on most of my survivors )) but people kinda just dip out if they see a p 0 or a lower member and its disheartening lol
0 -
This is a great solution. Because even if we were to keep the pre-game lobby and hide prestige, killers would just find different reasons to dodge. "That cosmetic's toxic", "They're definitely a 4-man", "Basic skin Dwight? Toxic." or dodge because of items.
Survivors dodge for silly reasons, too, but killer gets to see what the survivors brought, their characters, and their prestige levels.
