I am really feeling so bad for Freddy
Freddy, Chucky and Ghostface are always my fav slashers to go. The biggest reason, all of them makes silly jokes on victims and messing with them. They are just enjoying with what they are doing.
Ghostface is maybe not strongest killer in DbD but great adaption. Whenever i am playing him, he is makes me feel like i am actual Ghostface from Scream movies ( i know license is not from movies but he is still like iconic slasher Ghosty ).
I played Chucky good enough in PTB and he is also amazing adaptation. I am enjoying him so much.
Now i am looking at Freddy. The man who made me start DbD. The man who was my main for long time , until BHVR reworked him. Old Freddy was good adaptation, he was feeling like Nightmare Demon himself but rework version was just soooo meh and boring. He was Clown with teleport. So i stopped play him and rarely picked him after that.
Now i am seeing voice act of Chucky... And the latest Void Event... Just think about posibilities. What if his Dream World was similar to Void where he puts survivors into Dream World (different map) like how he is doing in movies. I know we got Remake version Freddy but he would still get some cool voice-lines as well.
It's really so shame one of the most iconic slashers is so bad in DbD. Like not exists. He is probably the most rare licensed killer in game, almost nobody is playing him. I know won't happen but i'd like to see another rework for him. Especially when i look newest killers... They would make Freddy really so fun and good.

He is in a really bad spot.
This is what happens when a rework isn't that good. The nerfs showed the true face of it. Either it's too oppressive or completely useless.
Freddy needs more help than just number changes.
He would definitely deserve the attention though.

I feel so bad for him because I love Freddy, he is still my main to this day despite his horrible state. There's so many things they could do with his powers, and the fact that it's so boring and weak right now annoys me. He's Freddy Kruger, a horror icon, my boy doesn't deserve to be neglected this way even if he is the remake version of Freddy.

I am sure most of new players did not even buy him because he has no attention from community and content creators. For obvious reasons ofcourse.
He is boring and weak. There is zero reason to pick him.
I am really hoping they bring his old version back with decent buffs or new power. Whenever i saw Void first time, i just thought about Freddy. What if he had power like that , he puts survivors into different world ( Dream World ) and survivors need to escape from this world. They still can progress game but in Dream World , they would be weaker against Freddy. With this way he would have different and unique power and good adaptation as well. It's shame Freddy left in oblivion and nobody cares about him.

He could definitely use a bit of love. I know, I know, Freddy is a terrible man but he is also one of the most iconic slashers and it's sad to see him in this pathetic state. It would go a long way, if they at least let him use pallets and snares but of course it wouldn't fix him. There are just too many things wrong with him.

Even just giving him some personality would be good.
Chucky’s voice lines and animations are so good and it feels like playing as Chucky. While Ghostface doesn’t speak, his animation have a lot of personality to them.
Then there’s Freddy who has the posture of a dorky teen and places puddles. It doesn’t feel like you are playing as Freddy Krueger.
He’s just wasted potential in every aspect.

I may be hopeful but I feel Freddy will be part of the reworks in 2024. His poor state has been know for a LONG time. He may not get special VA treatment (from what I understand his licensee is a mess?) but I at least hope they can overhaul the character entirely and truly make him a nightmare and not just a wet puddle lol.

We should start a petition for bhvr to remove him from the game. They have done a great disservice to the licence and it should not exist in this state. Right now it is just a mockery to the character. If this is what licence owners are seeing than it makes sense they will not allow og Freddy to return. It would damage their license.
Either dedicate a full chapter for him and bring the OG actor in and remake the char from scratch or just disable him.
He is not scary not very lore accurate right now.

I really hope BHVR does another Freddy rework BUT with Robbert Enguld's Freddy with the actual voice actor.
I know the actor is done with acting but I am sure he can throw in a few voice lines for the game.

Haven’t they confirmed in the Reddit AMAs that Freddy is on the list of killers to get a rework soon(tm)? (Like not in the upcoming few releases but possibly 2024-ish?)
problem is obviously that the license holder seems very restrictive (presumably they insisted on Reboot version and they are against adding cosmetics for their characters to the store - also since we know BHVR and Quentin’s actor were in favour of having his likeness used the license holder seems to have had something against that. At least they approved a very much needed visual rework nonetheless)
i do hope they find a way to make his power more interesting while incorporating the good things from both his versions in DbD to a great result - also would love to see original Freddy and some cosmetics.

He has a cameo page so he is still doing voices, it would be no problem I guess.
