Are we really nerfing Freddy? Again? Hasn't the poor guy suffered enough already? Well, I guess his name is all the more fitting now. He is a Nightmare indeed. A nightmare to play, that is.
First he is butchered with a bunch of nerfs all aimed to make him as weak as possible. Then his best perks are nerfed (not a direct nerf to him but it does affect him still). Then, you nerfed the dream pallets. Multiple times! Seriously, explain this thought process! There weren't any issues with him having a bit of synergy with some perks. And now this too?
If there is one killer in the game, that desperately needs buffs, it's Freddy. He is by far the weakest of them all. Even Trapper has his strengths. Freddy on the other hand is just bad. He doesn't have a power half the time, he has no early game, he has no end game (courtesy of Adrenaline) and when he does have a power, it's pretty bad. He is half a Clown (quite literally, if you have a look at their respective powers). Most popular perks are also pretty bad on him, because they require getting downs, which isn't exactly one of his strengths. Add in the fact that he is countered by basically everything and anything that can or cannot happen and it's pretty clear, that he is in a terrible spot.

Why did you nerf Freddy :(
“The Nightmare is no longer able to set Dream Snares across walls or out of bounds”
Why? This has been in the game for a long time and everyone’s basically treated like a base kit buff, why change it now? He’s already a contender for the worst killer in the game now he’s even worse. Somehow the most boring killer is even more boring now.
His buffs are not a priority but his nerfs are apparently? Why?

Well said. He’s Clown but worse and Clown is already bad. Absolutely the worst killer in the game, especially after this nerf.

Don’t forget Oblivious also prevents him using any terror radius perk. He literally can’t use Dissolution or Ultimate Weapon because of it. So he’s perk selection is pretty limited.

Let's face it. Freddy is dead. He isn't fun to play as.
Only way to bring him back, would be to reverse the rework + some QoL changes.
But this is just... meh.

The fact that they nerfed Freddy kind of astonishes me, but considering this is behaviour, I probably shouldn't be surprised. Maybe King Wolfe killed a dev or something with Freddy and that's what brought this on, idk.

Like everyone already said , this is disgusting but yeah , it's behavior after all so no surprise. Nurse flies over the loops , clown tosses bottles over the loop , Freddy can't and even half the time survivors are awake so it does not matter anyway.

Been thinking about the idea of a rework reverse for a while. I feel like Freddy's old power could benefit from some quality of life improvements, and a few things from current Freddy... though it's hard to know without having played old Freddy myself what should make the cut 🤔

Unfortunately they never mentioned anything about a rework just that he’s “on the list for some changes but nothing planned right now”.
This could be anything from a rework to giving him 1 extra snare sadly.

Remember when they said Blight's hug-tech wasn't intentional and would be fixed? Not that I think that would fix anything about his balance, but it's funny that it's still there, on one of the strongest killers in the game, while Freddy can't even place a small hindering trap through an object.

They also nerfed the Glass Bead add on for survivors to prevent spamming, which was only done for a laugh in matches. I dunno what informs their decision making.
