What are your pet peeves that aren't actually a problem?

I'm talking about things that aren't really a problem with the game, and others may even like, but just gets on your nerves personally.

For me I'd have to say Jump Scare Myers, especially with Sloppy Butcher. It's not broken at all, in fact it's actually pathetically weak and only even serviceable in the right map... but it just annoys me. I don't like jump scares, cause they dont really get me. I've watched horror for over 20 years and I'm not impressed by a jump scare, even if I actually jump, and I can predict them more often than not (It's why I don't really rate FNAF after the first game).

In Myers case, I know what he's doing, I read him and guess correctly most of the time... I tend to sit under a pallet injured with a medkit in my hand... I know he's there, waiting for me to touch my self heal button, so he can interrupt. I sit near a gen close to a loop, and I know he's there waiting for me to move closer and touch it so he jump out and spook me... it doesn't help that my play style is actually kinda the perfect victim to harass with Myers... I'm more a thinking, semi-sneaky player rather than solid looper, and I'm happy to draw attention and go down at the right moment to waste killer time.

I don't hate these players... I know they're having fun and trying to be fun being spoopy Myers... I actually feel bad about my annoyance, because these players are generally chill and just having a good time... and Im being the killjoy... but there are times I just wanna play DBD, without being constantly harassed off of every conspicuous action. 😔

What are your pet peeves in DBD?

    • Perk descriptions not being standardized (not sure that's a word ngl). Once upon a time I made a post about this subject using healing perks as an example, why does BHVR use 6 different terms to say the same thing is beyond me.
    • Survivor sounds not being equalized. I know survivors are just skin and ultimately it doesn't matter which one I play, but it's a pain to have to factor in "how loud are they ?" when I choose.
    • Cluttered bloodwebs and inventories. So many add-ons and offerings are useless, I wish BHVR would do some clean up or at least allow us to sell stuff back for half the BPs.

When up to 4 adrenalines pop while 1 injured person is getting chased. Its not a problematic perk or anything, but damn it feels bad.

Ha! Jumpscare Myers can be so good though lol. I remember back when I was first getting into DBD I wasn't as aware of that, and one time the player got me so good, I almost destroyed my keyboard. It's a good thing that it's nearly indestructible but like one of its buttons flew off lmao.

Mine is this one Pig skin that has a drill I think for a weapon and when she hits you, it doesn't make a lot of sound. So I'm often confused as to did she hit me and when and how.

I don’t like the trapper’s new default mask that he got with his model overhaul.

the left (his right) half went too far with the evil smile thing and it kinda lost the cold indifference the original had.

Survivors that beg for healing instead of finishing a generator and then throw a fit when they don't get healed.

These players usually don't even bring an item which is so weird to me.

I hate how custom lobby animations aren’t being played when you have an item equipped.

I just wanna pet Jonesy ffs 😭

    * Playing against Legion

    * Survivors not leaving the exit when all players are their/safe

    * Knights power to interact (still crap)

    * Survivors 360° juking (especially when playing as Oni on console) I'm an agile athletic person and I cant 360 spin like some on these mechanic absusers.

Annoying Lobby Animations. Mainly Oni and Onryo, I think Jumpscares are really cheap and so Onryo can be annoying. It would be better if she would stop doing that when turning her around.

Oni is mainly annoying because he goes into his rage quite frequently.

Also for Oni - when he does it in the Shop and you cannot see the weapon. Same goes for Spirit, when you have to wait for her to pull out her weapon.

Ditto. I always bring med kits and I miss Dweet's little nervous animation.

I would argue auto aim (or aim assist or whatever it’s called) is an actual problem

The brown point offerings especially. I don't really like any point offerings that aren't streamers, cakes, or envelopes. On one survivor I have hundreds of each brown point offering that will never be used. There really should be a selling option for the bloodweb.

Nemesis zombies. I know they help him make up for lack of mobility and map control but I swear those little bastards are always conveniently placed behind whatever door I'm going through or my gen. They're fine but they drive me nuts.

Residual manifest. Not even strong and doesn't do much of anything so the only reason to bring it is to ANNOY THE KILLER!!!

As a former Nemesis main, you have no idea how annoying the zombies can be when they get stuck literally everywhere or are making out instead of driving those pesky survivors from their precious gens 😭 thank you for making them at least active ~sincerely, all Nemi mains

Stealth killers in general. They aren't op but (imo) the hit and run gameplay is not befitting of a survival horror ACTION game.
