Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Thoughts on pop goes the weasel on pyramid head?

We already know what PGTW is but what are you thoughts on using it on pyramid head considering he has the cage of atonement ability

is it worth bringing on him or it isn’t?

That depends on how you play them and against who.

If you play against a group that relies on Flashlights or Sabo its more of a detriment since caging them both denies it and forces them to run across the map after following you, not to mention sometime survivors not give you exactly a choice.

Otherwise it depends on how much you tend to use the cages, i use them as much as possible and try to force them so for me all perks that are related to hooking don't really work.

You can make it work depending on the situation and your playstyle, but there's better options for slowdown.

I tend to take advantages in every time as I can, so it's meh to me on PH. This works same for Pain Resonance. So I use Deadlock instead.

It's not great but not bad either. Deadlock is a more reliable alternative.

Cages feel abit more situational for me personally like usually when I’m confident that I’ve applied a somewhat decent pressure as killer

like let’s say I hooked one survivor

downed 2 and caged 1 of them

thats when cages come in use the most

and of course I stop caging when the exit gates are powered or else it’s a guaranteed free escape

But yeah it rlly sucks how many perks that rely on caging don’t work for PH cause many of my favorite perks like NWO that sadly don’t work on him that much :(

Alright maybe I might give deadlock a try

thank you btw for the perk suggestion :D

As others have said, it's doable on PH. I use it in one of my builds currently on him with NWTH, Corrupt and I'm All Ears in the flex slot. You can make it work, but how much you use it will vary from game to game. If it were in the flex slot and I had to change it, I'd look at swapping to Deadlock, DMS, SH:PR, and even Jolt

What do you want to know exactly?

PH I like to run an even balance between information perks and gen defense perks. I'm not a stealthy Pyramid Head. Some people like ToT and playing sneaky, but my style is mainly it's just dropping trails in various locations and using PoTD until everyone dies. Leave your trails at pallets, grassy spots, and windows so that you can pretty much have survivors tormented a majority of the time, this allows you to use your cages whenever you need to (more pressure, or mori). Generally, never break pallets unless it's god pallets or super super safe pallets (you can probably think of a few that fit this). Kinda like Trapper because many pallets guarantee Pyramid Head a hit with his PotD attack.

I use PoTD a lot, especially around tight loops if it can clear it well enough, and blind spots if I know where the check spot is or get lucky (maybe some skill) enough to predict their movement. This is where I'm All Ears shines, and it's really satisfying and fun hitting survivors through a wall ;). Also, PoTD cancels, which is a strong mind game when ur closing the gap at a pallet. Don't use PotD attack out in the open, it's super easy to avoid and most time any experienced surv will make you look foolish paying for it.

If you want to know about cages, it really depends on certain criteria, and I use SH:PR/DMS combo in a lot of my builds with him I'll just go for hook unless it meets that criteria for caging. If I'm going to hook, might as well kick gen too while I'm there.

Another perk combo that you probably won't hear from anyone else on here but me is Thrilling Tremors + PGTW. This combo is slept on but it's actually a solid information/gen regression pairing on him.

Do you use the trails in chase or do you pair them with the trail duration extending addon?

and same here I also use his POTD with I’m all ears and range addons around certain strong loops and they’re quiet fun to use

The only few things Ik about his cages is that I shouldn’t use them at the endgame

and maybe I’ll give the thrilling PGTW combo on him when I can btw

I mean, realistically you can just run whatever you want.

It does not matter if it synergizes or not, just run it if you want to.

When I play PH I avoid hook perks but of course you can make them work also. A fun and strong build on him otherwise is Corrupt, Trail of Torment, Eruption, Nowhere to Hide with early game protection, info, stealth and gen regression.
