Recent killer pick rates anywhere? Is Bubba on vacation?
Have I missed any recent statistics regarding pick rates lately or are they not telling us? Because ok kill rates could lead to lots of "nerf this buff that" discussions so understand if it's a "rare to share" thing for BHVR.
I'm mostly interested because I have not seen a Bubba in my last 100-150 games or so, which could be a coincidence of course. More killers in the game so yes they will all become more and more rare but I have seen all killers in the game so even Hag, Twins, Singularity etc since seeing the last Bubba. I really miss the guy!

I´d take the Alien pick rate with a grain of salt. That was right at release and has dropped sharply.

I've also seen less Bubbas lately. Did they fix the camera bug with him? I couldn't play him a couple of weeks ago, it was so off putting.

I'd imagine Bubba's play rate plummeted due to the anti-facecamp mechanic being added in. So those who ran him with only that playstyle gotta go do something else with their killer lives.

I've never seen Bubba all that much, thankfully. He's never really been particularly popular ever since I started playing around All-Kill.

As a Bubba main, my main reason for taking a vacation from him is that since Xeno release i've had maybe two games when i wasn't sent to the worst possible maps for me. I don't mind map offerings that much, but one day i went on a streak of 17 garden of joys in a row, and I'm low on sac wards (they never appear in bloodweb for me). So i guess i'll wait for garden changes before i'll come back.

I haven't seen bubba in a long while. But I don't mind that so much if the trade is bubba with camping or no bubba and no camping. Cause face camping from bubba was pain, those people just did not get to play the game or have another chance after 1 hook. Bubba is fun to go against but yeah, the camping was not.

Because almost every Bubba players are campers and with the anti face camp mechanic they can only camp during the endgame to get 1K

I think I've actually seen more Billys than Bubbas recently. Maybe I should be doing my part to fix that, because I like playing as Bubba.
I did feel like instadown Killers became a bit more popular when MFT came out as lots of players just didn't want to deal with it. But with the upcoming nerf, maybe their popularity might dip a little.

Hello. I main Bubba since 2019. Why people don't want to play as Bubba nowadays?
1) Camera Bug - when the Chainsaw Sweep starts Bubba looks down or up for some reason and it's very annoying. I reported this problem and my post has a status "Under Review" since 1 - 2 months.
2) Tantrum Bug - when Bubba hits a Survivor and then breaks a Pallet with the same Chainsaw Sweep (or just Break a Pallet / Door with weird camera movement) his Power can be permamently blocked. Casual Cannibal players will not notice a bug and they don't know how to fix it. We need to release Chainsaw Sweep - it will trigger a Tantrum (very bad), but it will unlock our Power.
3) Current Meta - Cannibal has "Chase" Power without any mobility at all. He wants to use his Chainsaw in every chase. Best counter against Bubba - rush gens in injury state with perks like Made For This / Dead Hard / Resilence - they massively outplay your Chainsaw for free with Made For This. If they make a mistake they can press "E" to get a distance with Dead Hard. Resilence makes vaults speed much faster (vaults are the best counter to him) and also it increases gen speed at injury state.
4) Chainsaw Sweep Acceleration - his acceleration got changed / bugged in Patch 4.4.0 (Twins DLC). He reaches Chainsaw Sweep maximum movement speed after 60% of his first charge. It means that without addons he needs 1.2 seconds to reach maximum movement speed. It also means that all duration addons (expect Depth Gauge Rake) apply hidden penalty and they increase time required to reach maximum movement speed. For example with both chili Bubba is so slow at the start, because he needs 1.65 seconds to reach maximum speed. Old Acceleration Code (fresh after Bubba's Rework - Patches 4.1.0 - 4.3.0) was working like this:
Reaches maximum speed after 0.6 seconds. It was "ALWAYS" 0.6 seconds. Zero penalties for his addons. A little bit better base kit. It had a huge impact. He is much worse to play as compared to version 4.1.0 - 4.3.0. Also because of his acceleration code one of his iridescent addons "Carburetor Tuning Guide" was unplayable - but they have fixed that after 2 years, because of my 3452354 posts about it.
5) His addons are weak. The best addon for him is only Beast's Marks / Knife Scratches - but not for everyone. Average Bubba will not make a huge value from these. Chili Addons like I said apply hidden penalties. Other addons except Iridescent Flesh / Light Chassis & Recharge Addons are completely useless.
6) Maps designs - a lot of invisible hitboxes / hard to avoid hitboxes. Also BHVR for some reasion tremendously increased amount of Pallets on Azarov Maps. It's a nightmare. I need to mention Badham / Garden / Eyrie / Red Forest / even Yamaoka Maps have very bad hitboxes. I feel like only good map for Bubba is Macmillan and Dead Dawg Salon.
7) I feel like average Bubba or even +5000 Hours Player who play all Killers - he just can not win matches with Bubba or matches are very annoying or unfunny. I main this character since long time ago so I know all tricks I can do with this Killer and I can win many games in a row, but sometimes it's just impossible.
8) Hit Validation - thing that BHVR added like 2-3 years ago. Because of that it's extremely easy to stun a Bubba during his Chainsaw Sweep. Like Bubba needs to be clever and know how to play around it. Back in the days it was much harder to time it.
9) Lockers - another annoying counter against Bubba. Average Bubba just don't know how to play around it. But, Survivors learned how to time it perfectly.

I remember reading something about that, are they making it possible for family members to break the barricades or start in the basement? Seems like it'll be a mess without some additional changes and balancing.

Unfortunately, all they are doing is removing the requirement. There will still be barricades and you cannot start in the basement without leatherface.
It will probably be a bit frustrating without leatherface but i am still excited for the change

I really want to see pick rates for all killers. Why did they only show it for the top 10? Smh

Bubba simply isn’t a strong chaser even if you’re pro with the chainsaw and never collide with anything, he’s just average at it. The chases always go too long and all the gens just pop if you’re against a sweaty team. Never mind the camping nerf which was kind of Bubba's thing.
4% pick rate for Blight? Try at least 35% for me. It’s an absolute Blight infestation right now at my MMR. Meanwhile I’ve seen only 2 legions in my last 100 matches.
