Dead Hard to Made for This to ???

Wonder what perks the next survivor chapter brings to us. Maybe a perk that makes survivors invisible to killers for a few seconds?

Seriously this pattern is getting old. Dead Hard to Made for This. We're going back to the same ol' circus because eventually we're going to have another overused and busted perk ahead in time.

Unless BHVR release another this level survivor perk, we are fine atm.

People most likely will use SB and Lithe, so you will see these 2 most times. Some people probably will use DH + MfT but i doubt this combo will be super popular. And other exhaustion perks maybe time to time.

Wouldn't that expose and hurt this game in the long run?

There is a survivor only DLC on the calendar, and we all know what that means. Nicolas Cage sold on his own, but an original survivor won't have his charisma, so they are probably already cooking up a perk that will shake up the game like CoH did.

unpopular opinion: the changes to MFT just made the perk even more powerful for survivors on higher MMR and the deep wound change will just encourage people to run endurance addons on their medkits 24/7 and bodyblock with OTR.

Still complaining about a single survivor perk?

we gotta be precautious here, everyone told mft was going to be an issue yet it went live untouched and was kept that way for 5 MONTHS.

actually a perk that makes you invisible for a couple seconds would be pretty tight, just give it an activation condition like if you enter chase within 15 seconds of getting unhooked you're invisible for 8 seconds. can't be used aggressively, only useful for anti tunnel, still has a helpful effect

They have to make money and feed the majority of this games playerbase somehow. They want easy games so they give them easy perks.

You also forgot the latency, sometimes even if you hit to deadhard it doesn't work

Absolutely, another aspect that makes it harder to even activate the haste of new MFT.

I regularly play with random perks and brown/yellow add-ons. Am I allowed to complain then?

i don't see how not wanting broken perks in the game is an ego issue but whatever you say.

    Being precautious? Yup. Makes sense.

Creating a thread to get annoyed at broken survivors perks that don't exist yet? Nope.

Did you know owls were considered an omen of doom? Should you hear one hooting, it supposedly meant disaster was imminent.

Its the 'us vs them' mentality. Can't help but jump on the train I guess.

So, that being said, doesn't matter if you said it or not. Its Us vs Them, and you're with them.

From your postings in this thread, it's just quips to keep the mentality going. You make the MFT being like this for 5 MONTHS seem like its an eternity. It was 5 months... come on. DH was in its OP state for how long? Now THAT was a long time.

Its just false inflation of something that isn't true. From my perspective anyway. With text, you dont get the usual communication info that's actually needed. We just read, and interpret. I feel your posts are just fanning the Us vs Them flames.

Just had 8 games in a row of being tunneled at 5 gens. I'm a little pissed. And in end game chat, when asked why, they say "I can't win if I don't." Its the lamest, poorest excuse for not learning how to play the game. If BHVR did do something about it, we'd probably lose half the killer population. Might be healthy.

    ---------------

I need to stop. Was going to delete all this after re-reading, but I think the game has just been @#$% lately. Gonna stay6 away from the forums lol. It's just complaint after complaint from all sides, and even the survivors are ridiculous with it.

    GL in your games all.

it goes both ways, not just dh or mft. we have uw who knows how long will stay, we have blight with his unreasonable add ons, we have tunnelling and we have basement seemingly noone has an issue with. i didn't come here and create a thread saying something like "all you crybaby survivors' complaints got batteries included nerfed" because i don't think messing with haste is a good idea, for *either* side. mft was one issue, uw is another, tunnelling is yet another.

just remenber my words , is gonna be problematic all over again . also aint reading all that ...holy..

just to clarify : yeah dude the survivor is gonna stand still while having any type of endurance yeah is not like they can easily force a hit on a window by just fast vaulting to safety before it ends or using basekit BT to bodyblock and now the killer gets double punished by that by giving them free 3% and because is no longer tied to exhaustion you can use other perks alongside with it.

yeah killers should waited out dude...😐️....this is just bad design honestly.

Only thing I like about these situations is since MFT got nerfed now the meta for survivors could is going to change. Hopefully the next survivor doesn't have a broken perk for five years maybe.

You're right we need to warn everyone about ??? I hate the way it let survivors ???????? and ????????? is awful and it lets them combo with ?????? which is really unfair.

I can't believe the devs let ????? potentially go live maybe with how it was in some ptb presumably in the future. Playing killer is impossible in the future as long as ?????? is around!

  • Quizzy
    Quizzy Member Posts: 862

Yup. Because im definitely only will put mft with otr and ds builf. So these killers gonna have a much harder time tunneling me.

However, i cant say the same for others tho. Ppl just use mft for the speed. I always preferred the endurance part and used it altruistically.

  • Devil_hit11
    Devil_hit11 Member Posts: 8,804

you can't wait out Off the record. it is 80 second of endurance. the perk is more situational but in the situation where your tunnelling off-hook, it is going to trigger. you might see a lot of stypic agent med-kits post-changes for MFT.

they've also review-bombed the game for PTB content that didn't even release at that point so it doesn't surprise me.

Now THIS I agree with! But one of my main gripes is there is hardly ANYONE who participates in a thread and defends/attacks both sides. If there were more of this, I personally feel the forums would be a whole lot less toxic and more constructive.

Moving forward, I'm going to try and improve on this myself. This post of yours here is the first I've seen of it. I'm sure there are more somewhere, but its the first I've just 'come across'. I would LOVE to see more of it.

To go with that line of thought... I think we agree old DH and MFT were over-tuned. UW is a much lesser problem than what those two presented, but still could use a slight tuning. Tunneling, while a valid strat, is pushing people away from the game. I've personally had two groups of friends lose interest because when we get on to play, its tunnel after tunnel, and who wants to spend time in a game like this? Not them, and not myself. But I keep on anyway because I like the game too much.

Are there other perks people think are OP atm? I saw WoO as one, and that blows my mind. Unless you're new'ish, its a wasted perk slot. I dont feel using it to see dead zones as a strong strategy but, to each their own. BU + FTP seems like another one, but imo takes two perks and a very specific situation to become that strong. But I'm not for or against touching them. Whatever lol.

    Thoughts, any and everyone?

If every team just brought Buckle+For The People with all 4 survivors you'd have killers never getting a single hook. That combo is so damn busted it's a joke.

The chapter is 2 months away and you're complaining about perks that don't even exist yet. I mean, the perks will inevitably be complained about but I feel like 2 months before is a record of some sort

  • CaulDrohn
    CaulDrohn Member Posts: 1,596

Dude, even when they force you to hit them during endurance, from this point on its STILL just the same as current MFT. The only thing that might help is being able to activate your exhaustion perk (but not DH, since you are in deep wound already, and prob. no sprint burst, since it's mostly used at the start of the chase), so lithe or balanced landing.

Another very important thing: The killer knows when to expect MFT with this change! So even when you force them to hit you during endurance, they can drop the chase after hitting you in deep wound, and not fall into the MFT haste trap. That is actually huge, half of current MFTs strength is killers not recognizing the haste and continuing with an unfavorable chase.

When the killer is not chasing you in deep wound, you will have to mend eventually, to not be useless for your team. And chance is, next time they find you you have no endurance ready.

So I still don't how someone can claim MFT might be stronger in some situations. The perk is way more situational than before, even when you manage to force a deep wound, it's still just as strong as now, and deep wound gives the killer a strong indication whether the perk might be active, in contrast to now. Which allows to not fall into the haste trap.

  • CaulDrohn
    CaulDrohn Member Posts: 1,596

Correct, you can't wait out OTR, that's why you smack them and leave them mending. And if you don't, and tunnel further, than MFT haste will hit you, sure. But that's not any different to now! Reworked mft is strong in tunneling situations, that's right, and great also. But, it's STILL just as strong as current MFT in that situation, and drastically weaker in others.

As if styptics are rare on live. But still, it's only one time use, and has short duration, so this one CAN be waited out in may situations. And even when you manage the styptic play and get the MFT haste, that's STILL just the same as chasing an injured one with MFT on live.

It all comes down to the same: When you manage to get into deep wound, you get the powerful haste effect. But that effect is the same as on live, it is not stronger. But the activation is way more situational. And that alone makes the rework far weaker than the live version. Justified imo. I just don't understand why so many ppl here try to frame the change as a buff in some situations, is it some kind of coping mechanisms?

  • Devil_hit11
    Devil_hit11 Member Posts: 8,804

yes, it is coping mechanisms. the styptic needle is just to get deep wound effect on chase 1. After that, DH and OTR will provide necessary deep wound effects to activate MFT. If DH was usable in first chase, then styptic needle would be not be needed.

The buff they're talking about is that you can use DH->MFT and it counts as if you were using two exhaustion perks because MFT was an exhaustion perk previously. It is just that current MFT is good for DH because it takes away weakness of DH which is not being able to use DH in first chase while reinforcing the greed pallet gameplay of DH to trigger it. Now your kinda forced to use DH sooner rather then as last resort to chase extension to consider this a buff. Either way, I don't know. Like I tried in the ptb for 10 games. the MFT felt like empty perk slot. DH alone would done virtually same chases after it triggered. That and I am not really enthused in wasting perk for OTR so that killer "hit me". It just feels like a lot of wasted resources and effort to trigger the perk. Even using Boon:Dark theory might be less effort to use then MFT.

  • CaulDrohn
    CaulDrohn Member Posts: 1,596

Exactly, even if it might be stronger in some niche scenario (which I'm still not convinced about), it might be a dead perk in the majority of games, if you do not enforce it with additional perks / add-ons. Who cares if some comp-level swf can squeeze out some more value out of it than before, when in your regular trials the haste might not even trigger more than a couple of times, for limited duration?

Yep, boon theory is less effort now. But at least the numbers match then, MFT giving more haste for a harder to hit effect.

Imo, the reworked mft is so situational that it might even be possible to INCREASE the haste effect, to make it really hurting for a tunneling killer. Something like 5% would be huge. But I'm not sure if that could be used offensively, e.g. body blocking with endurance. Can we make the change to lose collision on unhooks already?

2 perks over 6 years apart is not a pattern.

An example of a pattern that's getting old would be all your posts being us v them, crying about how the devs love survivors but hate killers and complaining about stuff that hasn't even happened yet ("watch these killer perks needed next I'm sick of this", "survivors are going to get something OP").
