Can we just talk about a report system in DBD?
Does reporting someone for harassment, actually affecting something? Or reporting for rage quitting, working with other side (unsportsmanlike conduct)?
Am I the only one who thinks that forcefully making players to record their matches in order to properly report cheaters is a very lowkey stupid idea?
I mean, is this my resposibility to run OBS or Nvidia all the time I'm just playing a game?
Why is this the only way of getting rid of cheaters or other stuff?
Can we finally have a replay button with saving IDs of our matches?
So If we've gone against a cheaters we can simply just put the ID of the match in the support ticket, just like we have in other games. I don't understand why this one isn't a thing yet. It's almost 2024!!! Like come on Developers!
I understand that thing like "False reporting" exist. But honestly making your player to record their games in order for you to believe that they are not lying, is honestly ridiculous. Besides: IDs of the match will get rid of false reporting issue.
Players and Mods together will have an easier time getting rid of cheaters.
No one should be a "mini-streamer" in order to safely play your game.

I have to record with my cell phone in one hand because I play on Nintendo Switch.
You don't need a recording of the entire match. I just record when I'm being grieved on hook.
It does suck that I need my camera ready to roll every Survivor match but it's worth it if we all do it because the players will get perm banned if they offend multiple times.

Yesterday I received a notification that appropriate actions have been taken after a report of Griefing I took a while ago without recording the game.

Where are you even watching this stuff? I don't think I even have it tbh.

A lot of people seem to be confused about the report system.
The way it works - it logs and tracks the lobby pre-match chat & end-game chat. Thats it. Whatever happens DURING the match is not tracked or recorded. Catching someone doing something against the rules is 99.9% on the player. Their report system sucks. It has been like this for years.
Reporting someone in this game does nothing if you don't have video proof. And unless you're a streamer or someone w/ a 3rd party program that captures a few seconds of gameplay, reporting someone for genuinely breaking the rules does nothing.
They won't fix it.

Dude, I have never seen this window popping up, when I starting the game. For how many times I reported players for hardcore harassment in EGC, actual cheaters, when they working with a killer or being sandbagged and unsportsmanlike conduct. You actually opened my eyes. xD
Seems like my reports just being thrown in the garbage can. Wow, I'm actually dissapointed.
Thank you for posting this! I will stop using this report system whatsoever then. Why would I care if nothing is going to happen.
They are checking your reports, so don't stop doing so! Keep reporting bad behaviour, especially cheaters! For the love of GOD!

Report system is slow and inconsistent most of the times but I've already received something like 5-6 feedback, not as much as I expected but it's still something

But what is appropriate action? If it is a ban it should be called ban. It probably means the closing of your ticket.

Should be a ban yes

If you aren't seeing it when you report people, it is probably because you are overreport. I would be very surprised if their system didn't take into account how often you report people and throw out the ones from people who report every game.
