Detective Tapp Appreciation
I am currently going through every Survivor using their adept loadout. I am currently using Detective Tapp.
I need to take a moment to point out what a badass he is. He is so cool, his story is cool, his character is cool, and his perks really stick it to the Killer.
Tenacity- This perk feels so good to use. I like how after a grueling chase I can still find a way to lose the Killer sometimes. Imagine chasing a Survivor and then when you FINALLY down them you can’t find them just for them to find a safe place to be picked up. Like, that’s all time wasted for the Killer. It’s so fun, I can’t wait to make a Tenacity build. If anyone has any recommendations for a build centered around Tenacity I would love to hear it!
Detective’s Hunch- This perk feels great to use. I personally love to cleanse totems so being able to see where they are as well as generators is so great. After finishing a generator there is no time lost finding your next objective. His description states he is objective driven and this perk really feels that way. I really enjoy how efficient of a playstyle this perk is.
Stake Out- To me this perk is *chef’s kiss*. The fact that you can build charge while hiding in lockers feels so fun, like you really are doing a stake out on the Killer. Even in games where I don’t spend much time around the Killer it still provides use because you at least know when a Killer is and isn’t near to you. Something about earning tokens when hiding from the Killer feels so productive to me. I love it.
Overall I really really love Detective Tapp. He is cool looking, his story is pretty awesome and his perks make you feel like you are always getting value somehow. He truly is a thorn in the side of the Killer! He’s really really fun to use. Does anyone else here enjoy playing as him?

Tapp is OG Saw which you have to appreciate. Awsome character. Decent perks. Detectives hunch was amazing during the old ruin era. On my new account I might main him after I get my perks back.

Stake Out is such an amazing perk to have when dealing with those pesky archive challenges revolving around great skill checks.

Tapp is cool but not my type. I am usually playing female survivors but as Saw fan, i love Tapp is being in DbD.

Love Tapp!
Tenacity is one of my favourite perks. Great with Plot Twost to heal while heading for an objective Solid Snake style xD
Stake Out is great with Fast Track, especially on console where 60 fps makes landing greats consistently tricky. Also fun to run Fogwise too.

Love Tapp... BUT! his grill champ skin freaks me out. I find it a tad bit lame.

Tenacity is pretty decent on dark maps
Especially with the more quiet slugged pain noises
