Nobody use dying light

The Obsession is unaffected by this penalty and instead granted a permanent +33% Action Speed bonus to Unhooking and Healing other Survivors.

why? just why? nobody in the entire planet would run this perk.

Yeah this perk needs rework. This perk is almost garbage as current situation.

In case you thought survivors had it too rough, you can use Dying Light.

Regardless, I agree. This perk buffs survivors. Something that the killer never wants. On top of that, it's one of these "win more" perks. It only has a good effect when you already do quite well and in that case, do you really need Dying Light?

My suggestion would be to drop the whole obession part and instead grant a 5% action penalty on all survivors for each unique hook and make it deactivate once a survivor dies. That would make it a pretty good perk when the killer spreads hooks. We could even argue about a 6% penalty.

Probably would just stay like this.

Too many killer perks are garbage, don't really see why this one would be changed.

I see it quite often on Legion and Plague but for other killers almost never. That said there are worse perks.

It's a win more perk. It gives you slowdown, when you need it the least. It should be the strongest in the beginning and weaker in late game. Kind of like a "dying light"...

The healing buff to the obsession is just the nail on the coffin.

That would make it so much better and its not that hard to code either

I mean... getting 9 stacks means that you've already won

But I would make it cap at 6 stacks with 6% per stack meaning 36% and the Obsession gaining action speed apon the Hooks but losses the stacks when hooked

I just wish they removed the immunity to debuff on obsession so all 4 survivors affected.

Something that bothers me about it is that they never added the debuff to totem cleanse but thantophobia

It's only somewhat useable in Plague and Legion games and even then Its not strong.

  • With the pre-renewal specs, we could benefit greatly from thoroughly camping, tunneling, and mementoing Obsession, but with the current specs, the game is over for better or worse before the park becomes a threat to the survivors. It is too badly designed.

Dying Light needs some work. When the Chucky PTB released, i really thought Dying Light could become more used. in the Ptb, if i hooked the Obsession, the Game did count this hooked survivor as a non obsession because of the switch, so i could get a stack of DL with every single hook. Sadly they fixed that and it doesnt work anymore, so Dying Light still gonna be unused, although it should be in the interest of anyone, if the killer goes for as many hooks as possible.

Dying Light I've always found to be a decent perk- The only change I think it needs is to be updated to be persistent after the Obsession's death like how PWYF and STBFL work. The unhooking speed buff doesn't exactly matter much imo and a lot of survivors run Resilience which is a bit of a counter to Dying Light in itself so they likely wouldn't even want to heal anyways so they can keep their Resilience buff making the faster heal speed not as important to the survivors as you'd initially expect.
