It’s a little hit or miss. If survivors are too altruistic it can punish that extremely well and quickly help you snowball a game. But you’re not guaranteed to get any value (and you won’t get any value, if nobody else is around).
It’s also a problematic perk when used for proxy camping/when a survivor trades at the hook since it negates the BT speedboost (and more).
Overall, it’s sometimes decent. Not extremely good but not bad either.

Not too consistent but it's a nasty perk for slugging builds and tunneling. I've not really found a use for it outside of those two things. I do really like the perk though as it makes pickup saves harder for survivors and can even get them killed attempting them.

Deathslinger and Twins are the best killers for this perk.
1 -
Why is it specially good for the Deathslinger?
0 -
Well, my dear Naturalborn of the Void (or Stars of Darkness, if you prefer that one), I have no idea what that perk is.
2 -
When you down a survivor, any other survivors within 16 meters get 20% Hindered for 10 seconds. 30 second cooldown.

Ah, thank you.
Gotta say it sounds like a very bad perk.

Great when you know you're going against a very coordinated group
It also has some very interesting interactions with a few killers, Deathslinger and Artist for example can make healthy Survivors broken

You can pull Survivors trying to run away, which helps with proc’ing since you get a bit more control over the Survivor’s position.
It’s also a menace when paired with Starstruck since Deathslinger has a larger Terror Radius after his needs and his anti-loop works with Exposed perks.

We are talking about forced hesitation not forced penance.

too little range. if It had 20-24 radius with no other negative changes. I would likely use it because I really like the perk conceptually. I have tried using it in a lot killer builds but i just do not hit anyone with it in regular gameplay.

it can be very strong when u force a trade and tunnel the slow survivor off hook. other than that it trash
1 -
I've barely ever used it since you need an entire build around it just to make it work and it doesn't seem that interesting to me.
I could imagine putting it on bubba with infectious fright and getting an easy snowball that way but I doubt it would be consistently good.

I would like Stars of Darkness more :)
How did you know my name's origination?
1 -
You explained it on another thread, iirc.
But I was just happy to find a fellow Elden Ring fan (though I'm more of a Malenia person than Astel, tbh).
1 -
...and what does that have to do with forced hesitation, exactly? It only helps when you down someone.
0 -
Needs a bigger range imo.
2 -
Oh yeah I wrote that in a thread
I am also happy to meet Elden Ring fan!

I was just coming to say that this is a phenomenal slinger perk lol. Run it with like stbfl and you'll shred through people as they struggle to dodge while hindered.

i read it wrong but it still applies with deathslinger it's good for him

It feels only useful on bubba and oni
and also might require pairing it with infectious fright

It's an unhealthy design because the literal only thing it is reliably good at is making it easier to tunnel someone off the hook. You down the unhooker, leading to the unhooked survivor being slowed down to a crawl, allowing you to wait out the 10 seconds of unhook protection and down them. There is no way this was its intended use case, and yet it's completely consistent.
They should remove the perk's ability to slow down recently-unhooked survivors, and instead buff it for all other uses (i. e. those it was actually designed in mind with) by extending its range to the killer's terror radius.

It's a slugging perk, so I don't really like it. It's decent on the right killers but not the most fun or healthy perk to use.
1 -
It's very niche. It's only useful on Twins and Oni. The vast majority of killers cannot down 2 survivors fast enough for it to be worth it.
0 -
It's one of those perks where if the survivors aren't playing really altruistically, it doesn't really do much. Infectious Fright is a little better in my opinion.
If you wanna run a full-on slug build with Knock Out and Deerstalker though, it makes a nice addition. Heck throw Infectious in there too.

This perk seems nice on Oni when combined with Infectious Fright. But otherwise, it's pretty niche.
