This game doesn't feel rewarding to play

I feel nothing. Whenever I made a good play, do objectives, chasing the killer, heal, or anything that benefits me or my teammates feels like I'm not being rewarded for what I think I'm intended to do in this game. It's as if I play the game normally they won't reward me for doing exactly just that. I come back to the end game screen only to see me getting 0 pips. It's demotivating. Not that in this current time and date I should care about pips but nonetheless it's the only reward system in this game that gives you by ranking up your grades but even that is becoming a thing in the past as the grade system is being hidden carefully behind my profile customization.

I don't know if I have any purpose in Dead by Daylight. I don't think I have any now that the reward system in this game is gone and forgotten. I don't play much of Dead by Daylight but when I have the chance after work shifts etc. I take my time to do so only for me to close the application and play another game because the different games I play feels rewarding for me to play, and they give me a purpose in it for doing so.

Does it feel rewarding to play this game for you?

I would agree, this game needs something other than the rift. Even just seeing a number go up and down after playing would help a lot.

Not really. This game has always struggled when it came to "rewards". Whether it is collectibles or a sense of satisfaction, the rewards this game offers are abysmal.

I think matches are too sweaty now. It's either you become like everyone else and run meta or shake things up and lose.

No I'm in the same boat. Have been for awhile.

There's nothing really to climb towards. Rank is hidden. Prestige is being asked to be hidden. MMR is hidden.

What am I playing towards? More bloodpoints? A currency that ..just gives me items/offerings to use in my matches? That I end up just stockpiling anyways cause you get a ton of them if you are regularly doing bloodwebs? I don't care. This is tedious and not rewarding at all. I was never the type of player to run perks for bloodpoints, I simply don't care about that grind.

Its just..stale. They can add cosmetics, new killers and survivors. That isn't anything new to me and I more or less, am right back to feeling how I always feel, 2-3 matches after a new killer/survivor comes out.

Give me a ranked que - add a requirement to unlock it just like many other games do.

Maybe a different game mode? The closest we get are the seasonal events which are more or less, just side optional projects.

Add an actual valid report system that doesn't revolve around the player having to use a 3rd party program to catch cheaters, griefers, exploiters, etc.

We know all the maps, we know the tiles, we know the same 2 doors to exit out of, hatch, etc.

Its just been the same for so long, its no surprise people aren't satisfied or the games gotten a lot less fun for them.

No, but my reasons are different than yours.

You see, I first started playing DBD during the Winter Solstice Event in 2018. And let me tell ya: I fell in love with this game. With the sole exception of Old Legion, the game was perfect. I loved everything about it: the maps, the perks, the killers (especially my precious and beloved Old Freddy), the fog, literally every single thing you can think of.

But the game keeps changing, and slowly every single thing that I loved got altered in some way. Some of those changes were completely unnecessary, others could have been made optional, but either way they all happened.

And now here I am, with a game that I used to like. I only started playing again recently, as I had a hell of a long break, but I might have some understanding of your situation. After all, how rewarding it is to progress on a game that you no longer enjoy?

All of those points gained and spent, only to spawn on some reworked map that I can't stand looking at. It is demotivating, really.

Perhaps your situation is easier to solve than mine.

Man I love BP so much that I just stockpile it and forget to spend it...

They should give random items/offerings alongside the BP, the rarity representing the position on the leaderboard.

    No. Even P100 isn't something that's satisfying.

    It depends on preferences.

I feel pretty sitisfyed when I simply outplaying other player. It's a reward for me on it's own.

Not only in DBD, any game.

The Pip system is pretty janked for survivors I'm not gonna lie. For killers it feels ok.

This one is just what I was thinking. Something else besides BPs as a reward after a well played match would be awesome to have, things like: Items, offerings, addons, or even additional Iri-shards.

But! The game can become more "sweaty" and competitive, if there will be high rewards for best plays. You know?
