When will the individual DLCs that are part of the new DLC Packs leave first party stores?
All Original Chapter DLC leading up to and including the Hour of the Witch will leave first party stores on January 8th when the new DLC Packs are released. The individual Characters will remain available to purchase in the in-game Store.
Will I be able to buy the individual DLCs at a discounted price before they leave?
We’ll be holding sales on multiple platforms during the month of December to allow you to buy the individual DLCs at a discounted price before they leave. See platform stores for details.
Will I be able to buy individual DLCs at full price after this sale ends?
After January 8th, all DLCs included in the new DLC Packs will not be purchasable as individual DLCs. You will still be able to buy the individual DLC Characters from the in-game Store.
What happens to the individual DLCs that I've bought, and that are in my inventory?
Nothing at all! Everything you’ve already purchased remains in your inventory and will not be affected by this change.
I already bought the DLCs, but the recolored Cosmetics were not included. How can I get access to those Cosmetics?
The recolored Cosmetics can be purchased individually from the in-game Store if you already own the DLCs or do not wish to purchase the new DLC Packs.
Will I be able to buy new Chapters as individual DLCs going forward or do I have to wait for the new Pack to become available?
New Chapter DLCs will remain available for purchase individually. The Maddening Darkness, Old Wounds, and Macabre Tales Packs bundle all of our Original DLCs leading up to and including Hour of the Witch.
Are any DLCs being removed from the Store entirely?
No. Players will be able to purchase all Characters and their Cosmetics separately from the in-game Store.
What is included in each new DLC Pack?
Each pack includes 4 original Chapter DLCs with their related original Killers/Survivors, additional Outfits for each Character, 4 exclusive items.
Are there packs that include licensed Chapters?
No. Licensed Chapter DLCs remain available for purchase individually, and the individual Characters and their Cosmetics can also be purchased from the in-game Store.
If I have parts of the content of a Pack and only want to purchase the parts I don’t have, will I be able to buy the Pack at a discounted price after this sale ends?
After January 8th, we will be decreasing the price of all Original Chapter DLC content leading up to and including the Hour of the Witch in the in-game Store so players have the option to purchase individual Characters for 250 AC or 4500 IS after the release of the DLC Packs.
Outside of the in-game Store, those Original Chapter DLCs will be available for purchase as the new DLC Packs and pricing will remain the same whether you own part of the Pack’s content or not.
Is the Pack price the same as if I were to buy all DLCs individually at full price?
No. Buying a pack is still a more economical option than buying 4 individual DLCs since you get all the additional Outfits and exclusive items for a fraction of the price.
You can still purchase the Characters and their Outfits separately from the in-game store if you don't want to commit to the 4 Chapter DLCs included in each pack.
Why bundle purchases instead of applying the discounted price to the individual items so we can pick & choose what we want?
We've decided to bundle purchases into new DLC Packs to provide a more convenient and streamlined purchasing experience for players moving forward, as we continue to add content to Dead by Daylight.
However, we’re also pairing this change with a discount on all Original DLC Characters leading up to and including the Hour of the Witch in the in-game store.
Will players on PlayStation and Xbox still have the option to buy Curtain Call and Shattered Bloodline DLCs separately on first party stores, since they aren’t part of any new DLC Packs for those platforms?
No, unfortunately not. The content of those DLCs will only be available for purchase via the in-game Store for PlayStation, Xbox and Switch players.

Anyone know what's happening to the exclusive cosmetics in the DLCs? So yun-jin's orange polka dot shirt for example. FAQ didn't really answer this

This is a good change, I think. Losing the ability to buy individual DLCs is a bit of a shame, but the shard-price reduction more than makes up for it.

This sounds like they're just going to be added to the Store and be available for purchase.

I saw this news in the game. Since I got the game free on Epic - and after just play it a little, stuck on it - I didn't bother getting DLCs, just in-game store stuff. If I ever moving to Steam, I don't lose anything. But actually, at my country pricing on Epic for Auric Cell sor even DLCs got much better than any other store.
Dropping price for certain characters make me happy. I wonder all DLC chapter pack exclusive stuff will be in the store or just ones which get removed? (I possibly need to check the FAQ)

After January 8, original chapters will be selling only in bundles.
Now this is good option for people who wanna buy multiple chapters because it will be cheaper for them. But what about people who wanna get only single chapter? Why i am forcing to buy 4 chapters together when i only want to buy Chains of Hate?
You will no longer have chance to buy single chapter. You will buy pack or you will buy character in game. Licensed chapters are not included.
That's terrible decision.

Considering that the characters in question are half the price after this change, doesn't that still work out well for you?
That isn't being forced to pay more for extra content you don't want, that's effectively getting those chapters for free, you just need to grind for the shards- and considering you only need to grind half as long for each piece, that's still an upgrade compared to now.

Where does it explicitly say the shard price will be 50%
Because I'm not seeing it. Maybe the auric cell price will be but I'm skeptical if it's not mentioned explicitly.

Great change. Not very useful for me personally since I'm only missing one Survivior from that roster, but a general price reduction for older characters is great for newer players and long overdue imo.

That's neat then. I'm still skeptical on the idea of bundles but this is objectively a good change for newer players as it's a considerable reduction in grind

But i still dislike that they are removing option from customors. But at least, this change so wellcome for new players.

Probably one of the better changes for new players assuming it's comfortably priced. I can only respect BHVR for this upcoming change - I feel it's what a lot of newer players need to make stuff more accessible.

I bought most DLCs on sales or with shards but I can't help feeling jealous anyways :') good for everyone who will benefit from this though !
I was expecting the permanent discount to apply only to auric cells but being able to buy most original characters for 4500 shards is going to be really nice for new players !

Overall, sounds like some great and long overdue changes to help newer players get access to content.
My only fear is that they might try to bundle in an exclusive item in these packs like they did with those "character expansions." There are not enough words in the English language to accurately describe the disappointment I would feel if any charms, badges, or banners were locked behind these bundles.

Just saw this is on their twitter. You do get the exclusive items AND you get a recoloured outift. Most likely the recoloured outfits are just one that you can already get in the store.
