How do I get better at Skill Checks?
I am asking this for two reasons:
- I wish to get better at Great Skill Checks (looking at perks such as Plunderer)
- I have a friend who wants to get into DBD, but they are awful at Skill Checks - apparently they cannot hear the warning cue before a Skill Check appears.
Appreciate it if anyone could get back to me.

Hex: Huntress Lullaby might explain why your friend wont hear skillchecks.
Getting better with skillchecks is best done by playing the game. As a starter it is not uncommon to fail normal skillchecks, but you will learn quickly. It is all muscle memory and comes over time. There is no special talent needed, you will get there after a while.
A good way to practice besides just playing regularly is to host a custom game. One of you plays the killer, the other one is repairing the gens. I would reccommend using a toolbox, since you get more skillchecks. You can also introduce your friend to the game that way.
To have a better start as a beginner, i would play Feng Min. Her perk Technician suppresses the explosion when failing a skillcheck.
You can also hit two birds with one stone by using Corrective Action. You gain tokens for every great skillcheck you hit. If someone, lets say your friend is on you generator and is failing a skillcheck, it becomes a normal skillcheck instead.

Can you give me the URL for the website? I think that would help.

Practice using Technician. I never aim for great skill checks, the odds are not in your favor. If I get one, great! But aiming for them is counterproductive, especially if you're having a hard time with regular skill checks.

Your just going to have to get good at them since thats the only way.
As for Great Skill Checks.., the best perk at helping you get good at that is no more. Ruin 1.0 (red skill checks), we used to troll each other in game for not hitting "Great Hex Skill Check"
