Why do swf numbers feel off?
Everyone says "it's a small section of the community," but it feels like I am always up against survivors with coms.
They drop gens before I get there even if I'm stealthed and behind Los blockers the whole time
Near instant heals if I drop chase to push gens
Body blockers/flashlights on every pickup
I play survivor and I get 3 gens solo.
I know not everyone is a swf, but I can't be imagining this. I can't get any pressure at all for like 6/10 matches because survivors act like they are in constant communication

I mean a big part of it is just perception. Things always feel harder given the side you are on. That's just human nature.
Finishing gens quickly is more just an issue of whether the survivors are dedicated to doing gens. Sometimes in soloq I'll see all my teammates jump on gens, sometimes they run around doing nothing.

A team of efficient solo players can sometimes feel like a coordinated swf. Sometimes a killer might also overvalue their performance and ignore a number of mistakes that made things easier for the survivors. I was watching Hens play solo the other night and a Nurse called them a gen rush squad. Hens rightfully pointed out that she relied too much on BBQ because after hooking him she completely ignored the survivor on a nearby 70% generator and instead followed BBQ to an aura across the map. She made bad plays but from her perception they were coordinating (with no gen perks or toolboxes no less).

they mean navy seal swfs. Some old statistics from bhvr say around 50% of matches have a 2 man in them if that helps. But its rare swfs use their comms effectively.

A while ago there was a statistic showing the proportion of solos, SWF2, SWF3 and SWF4.
Solos were about 50%
At the time I did the math (can't now, don't recall the other numbers).
When you think about it, it doesn't mean 50% of matches are against solos.
Some solos are grouped with SWF3, some are grouped with SWF2, some are together and it takes four solos to fill one lobby. These 50% are melting pretty quickly.
In the end, it means most games are against SWFs.

The chance that you run into a SWF which is the reason why you lost (aka a VERY good group of people) is really, really low. Most of the time you will probably have made a few mistakes, which cause you to lose the game.
Also, 4man SWFs (which is probably what most people refer to) are rare. You will run in a lot of 2man-SWFs I would guess.
And as others have said, a lot of it is perception. E.g. I got send to The Game by some Survivors two days ago. I was pretty convinced that they are a 4 man-SWF because 3 of them had Balanced Landing. Turns out, the person who send me to the Map AND played the strongest (they were the one person who escaped after I closed the Hatch) were Solo, the other might have been in an SWF.
But during the whole game I was pretty sure that I play against a 4 man-SWF.

You said it. "It feels like .."
That's called confirmation bias. You assume every coordinated team is a SWF because of the ones you confirm are SWF.

The bad games always stick with you more than the good ones which can make it feel like you are getting SWFs more often.
And ever since the HUD update, some Solo teams can be pretty good. I've played against a few I was confident were a SWF but turns out they were just a team of very good solo players.

"Everyone says "it's a small section of the community," but it feels like I am always up against survivors with coms."
Can it be that you play at the same time of the day?
Late in the evening (especially on the weekends) SWF can be more common due to friends finally having time to get together and play some matches.
I'm based in Europe (GMT+1). Usually, 100% bonus BP is available in the evening and that is when I use my killers. SWFs can be more common but I used to ask if this was the case after a match lost and often they just confirmed two were playing together.

I don't see the connection. I've been in plenty of games as a solo were I ended up running the same perks as other people. 3 balanced landings doesn't seem that weird.

Balanced Landing is pretty rare when it comes to Exhaustion-Perks, giving that it has only very specific spots where it can be used.
But if 3 of them had it and sent me to The Game (one of the Maps which can have excellent use of Balanced Landing), I thought they would play together.

That I can see, but if I'm reading your earlier post correctly, wasn't it the player who didn't have balanced landing who used that map offering?

No, they also had Balanced Landing. And this person was 100% Solo, the other three I dont know (all private Profiles, except for the one Solo Survivor who also had a open friends list).
So them and two of the other three Survivors had Balanced Landing.
