Garden of Joy had the worst amount the recent map reworks
Seriously, for such a problematic map, with the amount of issues that it had and how obvious some of them were, I don't get why the rework was so minimalistic.
Original Garden of Joy had:
- lots of pallets that were often safe, perfectly aligned and really close to each other, to the point that it looked like a map from early 2017;
- a lot of small random clutter that got you stuck when you least expected it, specially the killer, who often couldn't see the low clutter right at their feet with the first person view;
- a ridiculously strong main building with two safe pallets and four god windows, 2 being dropdowns and 2 followed by no slowdown that could spawn close to each other, one of them being connected to both a god-pallet and a jungle-gym/TL loop.
And the rework made it better by... removing the small clutter scattered around and moderately decreasing the number of pallets. Wait, is that it? I mean, sure, we're not getting stuck in random debris anymore and survivors have to hold forward a little more before they reach the next pallet, BUT IS THAT IT? The loops are still really well connected and aligned, the main building is still as strong as ever, arguably STRONGER than before due to that breakable wall that changed placement in the second floor (if you hear or see a survivor's aura there, it takes longer to reach the long room with the window, giving them more time to vault and get more of a headstart), and some pallet sequences are just sligthly weaker. There used to be to pallets back to back right at the entrance of the jungle gym near the greenhouse. Now there's one near the entrance and another one on the OTHER side of the jungle gym... which means there are still two pallets in a row, just not in the verge of kissing each other like before.
To be fair, I appreciate that it was acknowledged in the patch notes that the main building's strongest window was still problematic. What I don't get is why that one issue, possibly one of the most obvious and most talked about by players, was not changed in the rework already. The Gazebo and the Greenhouse got changed, but the house didn't, not beside that one breakable wall. When Rancid Abbatoir got reworked, its main building was severely changed. Why wasn't the same done to a far more problematic and abusable main building as Garden of Joy's right away? I just don't get it.

The Coldwind farm maps are worse. Much worse.

They’re still going to change it. They said there going to look at the map again I believe sometime this year

tbh it didn't get rework at all. The worst rework recent happened is Abattoir imo.

Maybe they can finally admit map RNG is dogs*** and not fun when you lose the coinflip, and instead just curate static maps to make them fair for both sides.
