Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

What’s the point of hitting those Great Skillchecks while wiggling?

Like they don’t even give any extra progress or something, and why is it when the wiggle bar is 99% I still get hooked a lot? Is it bugged?

Anyone else also think they should buff those skillchecks while wiggling?

They give more BP, and slightly increase the strength of the sway. The increased progress was removed when the feature actually went live.

It causes the killer to get jostled around more. When killers carry survivors and struggle, they kind of walk with a drunk effect. Great skill checks increase this effect. It doesn't not increase your wiggle progress.

If it's at 99%, then it wasn't at 100%, so you don't wiggle out.

I just like hitting greats for the bonus points.

To add to this - even if the Bar is full, if the Killer is already in the Hooking-Animation, you wont wiggle free.

The bar can still fill up if the Killer is in the animation, but it will not do anything anymore, because they are already hooking you.

You aren't meant to wiggle out often. That's something that's always been the case.

It's all for that sweet, sweet BP.

hitting the great skill checks increases the strength of the "pushing the killer around as you wiggle" effect

the wiggle progress bar stays around for a little after the hook has already started. if it looks like you should have wiggled, it's probably because the killer hooked half a second before it filled

They increase the wiggle strength in so far that the killer's movement is affected further. They sway more to the left and right than if you were to hit normal skill checks. 99% is just short of 100%. It's not a bug but the system working just as intended. You are not supposed to escape before the bar is full.

The great skill checks should at least give you 1% progress

As many have mentioned before, it increases the sway it gives more bloodpoints. As for having the bar 99'd, its because of buffering. When the killer buffers the input and it locks in, even if the wiggle bar reaches 100% you still wont wiggle out

There are plenty of interactions like this, one of the most prominent is probably Doctors shock and vaulting/throwing a pallet. If a Survivor pressed the button before the shock was sent out, the vault will take priority.

You can‘t wiggle off when he looks at the hook and moves magically closer to it before the animation for hooking someone even starts
