Doctor's Madness Skill Checks with Merciless Storm
Is it just me or is this impossible to get through? I know Merciless Storm is meant to be tricky but this combo feels like it awards a guaranteed gen explosion because it is so difficult.
Fast, continuous skill checks, that move around the screen, and go backwards and forwards 😓
Don't see Doctor that often (thankfully!)

Yes, it's a good perk on Doctor.

You can see videos openly on youtube of people easily hitting them, first that comes to mind are people like zubatlel or scottjund hitting them against doctor. However is old gameplay so probably have to scroll for it.
However on the topic is completelty doable, it is kind of hard I will admit its prob the only hard skillcheck in the game atm so expecting the average player who can't hit merciless (which is easy tbf) to do it alongside doctors madness is just not a thing, however is hard to suggest a change as its the only way merciless storm is semi decent, its the same as old ruin problem.
On the good side it only procs once per gen and it doesnt do much, paired with doctor who is not a good killer per say you still have a high chance of completing that gen.

I just treat it as a rhythm minigame to be honest. You can sorta predict when the next skill check position with be so you can roughly hit them on beat. Never missed them much since.

I think it's a cruel perk, but like in a fun way. It's only triggered once per gen so it's not a total loss, but it's super wild and I love hearing my friends freak out when we realize that it's merciless storm and we also have madness lol.

And that's why he's the only killer that gets use out of the perk, if this is a proposition for a nerf that would just make it worthless to everyone.

I was able to pull it off with Unnerving added to the mix.

Merciless Storm seems very inconsistent at the best of times. Like it's super easy to hit the skill checks, but for some reason it always seems to go off near the end anyway even when you visually hit the skill check. Probably just some server side delay but it feels kinda off.

I've hit it even with Unnerving. You have to have pretty good reactions though.

that said, it's very difficult. i've only managed it once out of dozens of times seeing it

I've actually gotten quite good at it, prior experience with quicktime events kinda helped me though.

It's hard, but I actually have gotten surprisingly good at it even with Unnerving in play. Without Unnerving I get it almost every time, with Unnerving I get it like 75% of the time.
But yeah, Doctor is pretty much the only killer where Merciless Storm isn't a bad perk.

While its not easy to do, it is still skill issue.

I managed it a couple of times but anyway the perk is garbage on everyone else unless you get terrible survivors so it's not really a cause for complaint.

I think it's fine. Can be tricky but nothing wrong with a bit of challenge. MS isn't that hard once you get the hang of it but the only way you'll get the hang of it is if you face it enough.

The location of the skill check will be random, but it will still be visible, so the player base that has been playing Survivor to some extent will generally be able to get through it with no mistakes. This is why this perk and overcharge, and by extension the doctor, are rarely used.

don't take this the wrong way, it is just you. just gotta get more practice in and you'll be able to do it aswell.

The first time I realize they have it I get caught off guard but then I'm usually fine after that and can hit them all unless I'm just having a bad day

If you ever want to play Merciless Storm do it on Doctor. But it's not impossible to solve this task.
