Hex: Ruin and the new system

Does anybody know if the new anti-3 gen system would work with Hex: Ruin or killer add-ons like Legion's Fuming Mixtape if a Regression event is defined as "losing 2.5% instantly" and not just by losing 2.5% of progress?

Apologies if this has been addressed since I've yet to see anything about this loophole.

    Ruin does not count for that anti 3 gen because it does not make gen progression lose 2.5% instantly. Perks like Surge, Eruption, and Pain Res are counted.

    It only works if the regression is paired with a hit to the current progress. Fo example:

    A generator affected by Ruin, or one of the targeted Gens by Opression, it will not be counted.

    However, a Gen affected by a Kick, Jolt or Pain Resonance will be counted as its paired with an initial hit.

    It has to be 2.5% instant regression, so Hex: Ruin and Fuming Mixtape don't count towards the limit.

    Oppression causing other generators to regress also won't count since there's no instant progress loss on those 3 generators either (it will count for the generator you kicked to activate Oppression since that one will regress 5%, but not for the 3 other affected generators).

    It is not. Only things that cause an instant 2.5% regression or more (not counting Survivors missing skill checks) count as a regression event. Since Ruin has no instant regression and only gradually removes progress, it does not count as a regression event.
