Why is Trapper being able to be trapped by his own trap is still a thing?
I really cannot understand why this is still a feature. I think it looks kinda dumb that the killer can get disadvantage from his own power like this. I don't think he will be too op or something like that with this change.

It’s a physical bear trap. What happens when someone walks into it?

The more funny thing, sometimes survivors can walk around trap but when he does, trapped.
Poor Trappi boy , he never gets break.

Can you really say this with a straight face when nurse can blink through 95% of physical objects and floors? You literally hang the same human on a meat hook three times after you mutilate them to kill them and your saying trapper shouldn't be able to walk over his traps?

And by that logic, why isn't Hag triggering her own traps. Do the traps KNOW who is walking past them? Why does Clowns gas not slow down Clown?

There are multiple killers that already break the basic laws of physics.
Now you want to extend it to even more?
Enough with the double standards.

He should get trapped if he steps on one. The problem is trap hitbox is small enough for survivors to walk through tight path, but not him.

He has long legs I think he should just step over them especially since he knows where they are, id say though don't let it apply if a survivor is hooked within 16m (aka the entirety of shack + a little bit if someone is in basement)

There are possible reasons for those examples. The Hag may not set off her Hex Traps because she isn't setting a Hex on herself. She would be able to manipulate the magic, casting it so that it won't impact on her.
As for the Clown, he wheezes and coughs a heck of a lot and has been around that potion he makes for so long he's probably adjusted to it somehow. The toxic effects have probably weakened, like someone who has too much caffeine and such. It's probably nothing to him now.
Bear Traps are physical, cold and work at a very basic level. No magic to make them sentient enough to know who their master is; no getting used to the blades slashing through flesh. Plus I doubt the Trapper gained any favours from fighting against the Entity. He has to make wraps to protect himself.
That's the realism reason for it. It could be argued that Trapper shouldn't be affected, but I tend to herd Survivors into Traps, rather than walk over Traps. I guess it's not so much an issue.

Realistically it would make sense for an experienced user of bear traps to have mastered the art of... stepping over the trap. It makes no sense for random survivors to be more able to walk around bear traps than the guy who placed them to begin with.
Makes alot more sense than the idea that Clown is immune to anesthesia.

Clowns a fat alcoholic that breathes in his own gases for living so naturally he’s immune to it. Why is it so hard not to walk in your own trap?? I’m a killer main and play trapper. I don’t have this issue.
there’s bigger fish to fry than this. 🤷🏼♂️

Because basement Trapper doesn't need to be any more encouraged, or be made any easier than it already is

Cause its funny.

another terribly designed mechanic. The dev probably dislike that trapper is good at camping basement, so they put drawback where you trap yourself in basements. Lots of mechanics related killer drawback are invented for survivor's amusement/killers power-level decrease.

I dunno, I mean Evan has been tortured badly by the Entity, so his senses could be numb, amd in the heat of a chase even the experienced can overlook things.
Clown doesn't have to think about his concoctions as his body should naturally adapt. Besides, if the Entity changed his horse and also favours the Clown, it may have made a point of improving his resistance to the chems.

I'm just shocked he gets trapped more often than survivors. I can't put traps on vaults anymore because every single survivor will just phase through it
2 -
That would just change his traps from forcing survivors into traps to strictly anti-loop. He could just walk through trapped pallets for free while survivors would have to play around it.
